Kalki 2898 Ad was released in theatres on June 27 and received many positive reviews. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. It’s a blend of science fiction and Hindu mythology set in a dystopian future. The story is inspired by the Mahabharat saga and the tale of Lord Vishnu’s last avatar, Kalki.

In the movie, Amitabh Bachchan plays Ashwatthama, Kamal Haasan is seen as the villain Supreme Yaskin. Prabhas essays Bhairava, and Deepika Padukone plays Sumathi. Kavita Ji revolutionized Indian TV with the series Udaan, which she directed and wrote as well. The series was inspired by her elder sister, Kavita Chaudhary, who was the second female Ips officer in the country after Kiran Bedi.

However, much before Udaan, Kavita Chauhary revolutionized the Indian brand Surf and helped it gain a position in the market, which was dominated by Nirma.

India's top players to battle for honours in Taekwondo Premier League

New Delhi, June 23 (Ians) Indias top taekwondo players, led by India No. 1 Prithiviraj Chauhan and No. 2 Shivan Shetty, will jump into the arena to battle for honours and glory as the inaugural Taekwondo Premier League gets underway, here on Saturday.

Prithiviraj, who has won several medals at the international stage, has been selected to represent India in the Asian Games and the World University Games.

“I am hopeful of taking my team (Maharashtra Avengers) deep into the league.We are all very excited and are looking forward to the competition,” Chauhan said.

India No. 3 Nitish Bharadwaj (Lucknow Nawabs), Asian Championship bronze medallist Naveen Sandhu (Rajasthan Rebels) will be among the other attractions.

The curtain went up on the league on Friday, with the Tpl Founders and team owners meeting a special delegation from World Taekwondo who have arrived to observe the league.

Director Ashutosh Gowariker, who began to film Mohenjo Daro last year in Bhuj has now completed the shooting of the movie yesterday.

The movie’s lead actor – Hrithik Roshan, took to his instagram account to share this information with his fans.

The movie’s post production work has already commenced. Recently, Hrithik also shot with ace photographer Avinash Gowariker for the movie.

Mohenjo Daro is a period romance starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hedge in lead roles. The movie also stars Kabir Bedi, Arunoday Singh, Kishori Shahane, Diganta Hazarika, Shaji Choudhary, Manish Chaudhari and Nitish Bharadwaj.

Kashish Mumbai Int’l Queer Film Festival to open with gay love story “Out in the Dark”

Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival 2014 will open with Michael Mayer’s Out in the Dark (Israel, Palestine, USA), a love story between an ambitious Palestinian student and an idealistic Israeli lawyer caught in a minefield of socio-political conflict.

The festival which will take place from May 21 – May 25 at Liberty Cinema, New Marine Lines and Alliance Française de Bombay; will screen around 154 films from 31 countries including shorts and features in both narrative and documentary category.

Twenty-eight Indian films will be screened at the festival. National Award winning director Ravi Jadhav’s Marathi short film Mitraa, based on Vijay Tendulkar’s play Mitrachi Goshta, will be screened on Saturday May 24, 4.45 pm at Liberty Cinema in a short film package ‘Indian Showcase’.
