Toni Bestard was born on 6 November 1973 in Palma (Balearic Islands, Spain). He is a director, writer and producer, know for I Am Your Father (2015), The perfect stranger (2012) and Pullman (2020).
After a successful career in the short film world (with titles such as Background, Foley Artist or El Viaje), with three Goya Award nominations and more than 200 awards in different film festivals, Toni Bestard released his first film in 2012, The Perfect Stranger, starring Irish actor Colm Meaney. In 2015 he co-directed the documentary I Am Your Father, about actor David Prowse, famous for playing Darth Vader in the first Star Wars trilogy. In 2020 he released his third film, Pullman, and combines film directing with teaching in film schools. He is a member of the Spanish Film Academy.
