Nick At Nite’s ‘See Dad Run’ To End Run After Three Seasons
Exclusive: It is the end of the road for Nick at Nite‘s first original scripted comedy series See Dad Run, starring Scott Baio. There are five episodes left from See Dad Run‘s 20-episode second season, with the 13-episode Season 3 expected to air later this year — culminating with an hourlong series finale, which has been ordered in addition to the 13 regular episodes. See Dad Run‘s cancellation after 3 seasons and the exit of Nick at Nite’s second original sitcom, Wendell & Vinnie, after one leaves Instant Mom as the network’s only remaining original comedy series. Created by Tina Albanese and Patrick Labyorteaux, See Dad Run centers on actor David Hobbs (Baio) who, after a decade on television, becomes a stay-at-home dad...

I hear that Nickelodeon has given a 20-episode order to the multicamera project starring Happy Days alum Scott Baio. Daddy’s Home centers on David Hobbs (Baio), an actor who, after 10 years of starring as America’s favorite TV dad, becomes a stay-at-home father to honor the deal he made with his soap-star wife so she can return to the limelight. The project was created by writer-producer Tina Albanese (CSI) and actor Patrick Labyorteaux (Little House On The Prairie), who are executive producing with Baio as well as showrunners Mitchel Katlin and Nat Bernstein, Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey. Fall 2011-12 development: Will remakes of 'True Lies' or 'The Munsters' become great hits? Are you ready for a new take on Sherlock Holmes?
Will Smith at an event for Sept Vies (2008)

And like every year, a great deal of them are not worth mentioning here — mostly because they involve the bland types of cops, lawyers, and doctors who you’ve already seen fighting crime or sneaking a kiss on the way to the ER.

But fascinating projects continue to pass the first smell test at the broadcast networks. The key is whether the suits take...
