ABC plans to replace Chaser's Media Circus with cat videos
The Chaser's Media Circus will return for a second season on September 10.

However, according to a statement from ABC TV, management has confirmed it hopes to replace the second series with cat videos.

.As soon as we can find enough left wing cats who instinctively hate Australia, they.ll be replaced,. said an ABC representative.

The game show about the news is hosted by Craig Reucassel with Fake Fact Checker Chas Licciardello.

It is produced by the creative team behind The Chaser and The Checkout, including Ben Jenkins, Zoë Norton Lodge, Scott Abbot, Andrew Hansen and Julian Morrow.

PR’s Roxy Jacenko joins Celebrity Apprentice cast
Roxy Jacenko joins Celebrity Apprentice

Publicity company owner Roxy Jacenko will join Nine’s cast of celebrity apprentice for 2013.

The Sweaty Betty PR boss joins swimming veteran Dawn Fraser, rock ‘n roll veteran Brian Mannix, Afl veteran Dermott Brereton and boxing veteran Jeff Fenech.

Also in the cast is TV presenter/singer Rob Mills, The Voice’s Prinnie Stevens, swimmer Stephanie Rice, 2Ue’s Peter Berner, Peter Everett, Layla Subritzky, Kym Johnson and Prue MacSween.

It’s not the first time Jacenko has dabbled in front of the camera. Her agency was the subject of a proposed Seven factual show.

Jacenko told Mumbrella last year that the network’s factual department followed the team for 12 months on and off for a show proposed to be called The Sweat Shop.

At the time, Jacenko said the series was shelved, despite having completed two episodes.

Last year’s final episode rated 1.036m...

Brian Carlton rises from the ashes at 2Ue as Peter Berner quits
Former 2Gb and Triple M figure Brian “The Spoonman” Carlton today signed on with beleaguered 2Ue just days after Tweeting ”after 29 years its goodbye to the media, I’m done” and later telling Mumbrella ”it’s time to go off and utilise my skills somewhere (else).”

But Mumbrella has also learned that the good news was balanced with another negative to hit 2Ue, with weekend afternoon host Peter Berner quitting, apparently upset due to turmoil at the station.

The shock Carlton announcement came just a day before the talk station 2Ue will announce its new line up with the focus on who – and it is expected she will be female – will co-host the ambitious breakfast...
