[on the small piece of costume and long wig she wore as Eve] I utterly disliked that part of it, but there were so many other things that I enjoyed so much. And I did get to wear a few costumes in later scenes.

[on La Bible : Au commencement des temps... (1966)] I was especially surprised by the fact that I started to work four days after signing a contract. Although I've always been interested in movies and the theater, I'd never seen any actual shooting, and it was all very exciting.

[on being cast in La Bible : Au commencement des temps... (1966)] The reason I went to Rome is that I had never been there before and I was getting paid to go. I didn't think anything would really come of it. I didn't think things like that happened any more.

The apple we used in my scene [in La Bible : Au commencement des temps... (1966)] was a real one, but they gilded it. It had a most disgusting flavor.

I did teach Latin for a while in a secondary school, but discovered that the students just didn't want to learn. I've always been interested in films as long as I can remember. Actually, I wanted to do anything not to become a teacher.
