Shaun Costello directed and produced over seventy adult feature films during the Seventies and early Eighties. In 1983 he began a long, successful, award winning career directing television commercials for New York advertising agencies. His first book, Wild About Harry, a biography of Harry Reems, is available on Amazon. He has two more books in the works - Risky Behavior, a Seventies memoir about his life in the murky world of smut, will soon be published in French by 2B2M, in Paris. The third, The Last Time I Saw Jesus, a childhood memoir, is finished and searching for a publisher.

I made them for the boys downtown, who were the porno unit for the [Carlo Gambino] crime family. They had an arrangement with the Avon owner, a guy named Murray something, to play them at the Avon. I never worked directly for the Avon people, and didn't really know them.
