February 16, 2024 Benford landed yet another hit album with Jason Derulo, Jason's album debut "Nu King" hit single ft Micheal Buble' titled "Spicy Margarita" surpassed certified Gold with-in the first 14 hours of release, the album garnered superstar artist Adam Levine ( Maroon 5) Meghan Trainor , Quavo of the Migos, French Montana, David Guetta , NBA Young Boy, Gucci Mane and Nicki Minaj.
On April 10, 2024, Vassal Benford delivered seven back-to-back paltinum recordings, including the powerful new single "Bruce Lee" for R&B and pop superstar Chris Brown. Inspired by Bruce Lee's iconic quote, "Empty your mind. Be formless. Shapeless. Like water," the song became a standout on Brown's 11:11 Deluxe album. Benford formed his second imprint distributed label, Vaz/Mercury with Danny Goldberg Chairman of Mercury Records. Benford was then appointed as Senior Vice President of Motown Records West Coast Division. After a two year tenure as VP, Benford was promoted and given yet another distributed label imprint, Vaz/Motown Records. Behind the success of Vaz/Motown Benford then teamed up with Mogul Danny Goldberg, formed a new distribution partnership with Artemis Records at Sony Music distribution. Artemis became the #1 independent label in the world with the mega hit, "Who Let The Dogs Out," performed by the band the Baha Men. The Baha Men are presently signed to Benford's record label.
Benford re-signed with Universal/Capitol EMI Records Music Group in 2014. In 2016, Benford produced and orchestrated a sold-out Michael Jackson Tribute Concert at CES® in Las Vegas, the world's largest and most influential tech and concert event. CES serves as a global stage for breakthrough technologies and innovation, where the biggest brands, sharpest innovators, and top celebrities converge.
