The series stars Kristen Bell as Joanne, a podcaster who finds love with an attractive rabbi named Noah (Adam Brody). It also features Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Sherry Cola, and Shiloh Berman. Guest stars for Season 2 include Leighton Meester, Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky, and Arian Moayed.

The cast was on hand yesterday to announce the premiere date at an Emmys event at the the Academy Museum in Los Angeles.

Netflix know that a lot of somebodies want this. The second season of “Nobody Wants This” will premiere October 23. The show first dropped on the streamer last September to sparkling reviews, with IndieWire’s Proma Khosla praising the chemistry between leads Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.

The show, created by Erin Foster, finds Joanne and Noah (Brody) in a would-be conventional love story complicated by Noah’s position as a rabbi. Popular podcaster Joanne isn’t just not Jewish, she’s also unreligious generally — as is her entire non-traditional family. The event, which took place at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles, featured a screening of the Season 1 premiere followed by a live panel taping for Erin and Sara Foster’s podcast The World’s First Podcast.

Bell and Brody star as an agnostic podcast host and an unconventional rabbi, respectively, who fall for each other and try to pursue a relationship but find themselves dealing with obstacles along the way, including family members on both sides.

One of those things is not like the others, but Muchas Mas Releasing’s “Rosario” is a supernatural horror flick you’ve mostly seen before. “The Late Night with the Devil” actor appears in a supporting role here for the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Felipe Vergas. Dastmalchian’s slippery presence as the super-weird Joe — a clammy neighbor who maybe shouldn’t let an old woman borrow his kitchen appliance next time — both undercuts and strengthens this strange script from Alan Trezza.

Doomed to amuse audiences through funniness or fear, maybe forever, Dastmalchian can awkwardly hover in a hallway like no other performer. Both films, despite their cultural idiosyncrasies, trap protagonists in a claustrophobic New York City apartment with a dead body. Tight quarters become a hunting ground for spiritual demons as Vargas preys upon familial guilt. Fans of the Leprechaun horror franchise longing for an update on the new reboot movie that was announced in June 2023 are in for some bad news. It's been more than a year since any update on the project. Now, Bloody Disgusting reports that Lionsgate, which has been working on the Leprechaun reboot, has confirmed that director Felipe Vargas (Milk Teeth)is no longer attached to the project.

The new Leprechaun film was announced by Lionsgate in June 2023. At that time, Vargas was confirmed as the film’s director, with the script being written by Mike Van Waes, who also penned the upcoming Lilo & Stitch live-action film. Roy Lee is set to produce the Leprechaun reboot. Thus far, Lionsgate has not announced who will be replacing Vargas as the film’s director.
