Jeffrey Bell is a showrunner, writer, director and executive producer. He has produced over 300 episodes of television. Bell began his television career writing three seasons of The X-Files. He then joined Angel and was promoted to executive producer and showrunner for the series' final two seasons. Bell then spent four years under an overall deal at ABC developing, writing, directing and producing. He was executive producer and/or showrunner on several network series including Alias and Day Break for ABC, and the murder mystery, Harper's Island, for CBS. He was also a consulting producer on the Starz series, Spartacus. Bell spent seven years as an executive producer and a showrunner on ABC's, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., producing 136 episodes of the series. While working for Marvel he also executive produced the Emmy nominated mini- series, Slingshot, and co-wrote the Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin off pilot, Most Wanted. Additionally, Bell has taught screenwriting in the UCLA MFA Producers Program as well as writing seminars in Berlin at the DFFB (the German Film and Television Academy), the Sorbonne in Paris, and for Netflix Grow Creative Programs in Sweden, Italy, France and South Africa.

      Was promoted to co-executive producer and new head writer on Angel (1999) after David Simkins left the show because of "creative differences". Simkins, himself, was supposed to be the new head writer, starting in season four after David Greenwalt left, Miracles (2003), and Tim Minear & Joss Whedon being too busy producing Firefly (2002).
