Edit
  • He has reprised his role of the Master in the Big Finish audio dramas "Dust Breeding" and "Master". Both of these starred Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor.

He was succeeded in the role by Anthony Ainley, Gordon Tipple, Eric Roberts, Sir Derek Jacobi and John Simm.
  • Of the four actors to play the Master, the Doctor's greatest enemy, in Docteur Who (1963), he is only one who is still alive, as Roger Delgado, Peter Pratt and Anthony Ainley died in 1973, 1995 and 2004 respectively.
  • Father of Daisy Ashford.
  • London theatrical debut with the RSC in 1964.
  • Has acted on stage at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre, Shakespeare's Globe and the West End. Beevers has also worked as writer and director, notably at the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond-upon-Thames. • Half-brother of Diana Beevers.
  • Beevers was previously married to the actress Caroline John, who appeared as Doctor Who's (Jon Pertwee) companion Liz Shaw.
