Barbara Beaird and her family used to vacation in California, where one
day, she met an agent named Hazel McMillan, who set up a screen test
for her, which landed Barbara her first role in the Alan Ladd film, L'homme dans le filet (1959).
She attended Bushnell Way School, a public K-8 school, in Highland
Park, California.
