In 2024, Marcel Barsotti made his debut as a film director with the highly awarded international short film "Transformation", a dystopian elaborate science fiction production that deals with the question of the extent to which life can find peace in this universe or whether living beings are fundamentally capable of doing so. The movie started 2024 worldwide to international festivals, awarded with the renowned Honorary Award on the International Peace Festival in Canada and just with best reviews like "A masterpiece / A brilliant movie". Barsotti began working as a music video director on various projects in 2020 and received the David Award (2023) for his electronic music video "The New Human" and the Onkyo Award (2023) for "Fields".
