One of the most important Brazilian producers. With Luiz Carlos Barreto, she leads L.C. Barreto and Filmes do Ecuador, where she is responsible for guiding and choosing the projects that will be produced. Lucy Barreto has one of the most experienced looks in the production of national cinema.
His first film work was as producer of Tati, a garota (1972), by Bruno Barreto. Since then, he has produced and co-produced more than 80 titles between feature films, documentaries and TV series.
Lucy produced ' Bye Bye Brazil (1980), by Carlos Diegues and among other films. He also produced titles that gave prestige to his two sons filmmakers, both nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film in consecutive years: O quatrilho (1996), by Fábio Barreto, and O que é isso, companheiro? (1997) by Bruno barreto.
