Joslyn Barnes is President of Louverture Films, a New York based independent production company she co founded with actor Danny Glover. The company, which includes partners Susan Rockefeller, Tony Tabatznik of the Bertha Foundation, Sawsan Asfari, Jeffrey Clark, Melony Lewis and Adam Lewis, specializes in international arthouse fiction and feature documentary films. The company has recently expanded to include series, installation artworks, and interactive projects. Barnes is known for Nickel Boys (2024), Memoria (2022), Hale County This Morning, This Evening (2018), Strong Island (2017), Zama (2017), White Sun (2016), Cemetery of Splendour (2015), and Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975 (2011), among other films. Barnes is a four-time Oscar nominee and Emmy winner.
