Philippe Barcinski, 49, have 35 years of experience in audiovisual direction and holds a master's degree in cinema from USP. He directed short, and feature films, soap operas, fiction, and documentary series (national and foreign) for a diverse audience, like children, youth, and adults. He has won over 50 awards for his work and is an exponent of the short film scene in the 1990s, with films such as 'Palindrome', 'A Janela Aberta', and 'A Escada', all of them present in official competitions, like festivals such as Cannes, and Berlin. He directed the feature films 'Não Por Acaso', with Rodrigo Santoro, and 'Entre Vales', with Angelo Antônio, and was part of the advertising teams of directors at O2 Filmes.In television, he worked for TV Cultura, MTV and TV Globo, and lately directed series for Netflix and Discovery Kids. He started as director's 1st assistant of the classic 'Castelo Rá Tim Bum', and worked under Fernando Meirelles, Cao Hamburger, Luiz Fernando Carvalho, and José Luis Villamarim artistic supervisions. Among his works in television and streaming are the successes series 3% (2nd season), Cidade dos Homens, Carcereiros, and Que Monstro Te Mordeu? and soap operas such as Velho Chico and Amor DE Mãe. Route 66 (Globoplay) is his first artistic direction in a fiction series.
