- Daniel Barenboim was born on November 15, 1942 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a music artist and writer, known for Les amours imaginaires (2010), Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) and L'arnacoeur (2010). He has been married to Elena Bashkirova since 1988. They have two children. He was previously married to Jacqueline du Pré.

This piano was developed with the help of Chris Maene at Maene Piano, who also built it. In 2019, Barenboim used this instrument to perform at Berliner Philhamoniker.
