James received the Drama Desk, Outer Critics and Drama Leagues Awards nominations for his starring role as "Sydney Carton' in the 2008 Broadway production of A Tale Of Two Cities. He also won the Sarasota Magazine best actor award for the out of town pre-Broadway run of A Tale Of Two Cities.

For nearly three years he played the title role of 'The Phantom' in Broadway's longest running multi-million dollar blockbuster The Phantom Of The Opera.

James was also the host of the Internationally acclaimed radio show The Star Power Hour and creates content for the VoiceAmerica Internet television network and hosts James Barbour Now on Grant Cardone's MYGCTV.com
