Biography

    • Spotted playing 'The Fool' in a London production of 'King Lear' Simon was invited by writer and director Clive Barker to join the 'Dog Company' a theatre group based in London. Eventually also working for Clive on the first two 'Hellraiser' movies. The success of the 'Hellraiser' franchise led to Simon playing the ill fated 'Ohnaka' in 'Nightbreed' at Pinewood Studios.

      More recently he has worked with Jonas Armstrong and Sophie Ward on 'Book of Blood' in Edinburgh, with 'Tony Todd aka The Candyman' on 'Dead of the Nite' and in 2016 with Golden Globe winner 'Joanne Froggatt' on the true drama 'Starfish'.

      TV films include 'The Real Mamils' with Joe McGann and Gwyneth Strong, and as actor and producer on the Dark Ditties series' with Bruce Jones, Kenneth Cranham & Mark Wingett. Episodes 1 - 3; The Offer, Mrs Wiltshire & Finders Keepers can be seen on Amazon Prime.

      Simon's career has taken him around the world; Karachi to Dubai, London to Los Angeles, Bucharest to Stockholm as actor, director, designer and producer.

Trivia

  • When writing his first published work 'The Books of Blood' author Clive Barker used Simon as inspiration for his hero 'Simon McNeal'. Although too old to play the 19 year old when the movie was eventually shot 25 years later, Simon appeared in a specially created cameo role.
