He began his career in cinema as an assistant director in France. Upon returning to Italy, he directed together with Corrado D'Errico his first film, Freccia d'oro. Subsequently he directs other feature films of little interest. He is one of the few directors who adhere to the Italian Social Republic: in the autumn of 1943 he moved to Venice, where two film studios were hastily installed in those months.
He is the director of Fatto di cronaca, the latest film starring Osvaldo Valenti and Luisa Ferida. After the war he resumed his activity as director and screenwriter.
He was married to actress Milena Penovich.
