"Never Say Never": Steve Howey Addresses a Possible ‘Shameless' Reunion on 'Found'
Image
Despite being two different characters, Kevin Ball (Steve Howey) and Veronica Fisher (Shanola Hampton) existed as a unit on the Showtime hit show Shameless. It was always Kev and V, and for fans of the show, it must have taken a while before they stopped expecting a V for every Kev they heard after the show ended. It's been nearly four years since the series ended, and its stars moved on to other projects. Howey starred in the television adaptation of True Lies, which lasted for a single season, while Hampton plays Gabi Mosley in the NBC hit series Found. Howey recently appeared on Happy's Place, reuniting him with his Reba costars Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman. TV Insider talked to the actor about possibly moving a door down for a guest star role on Found, which airs on the same network. Howey previewed the biggest challenge with this proposition,...

‘Happy’s Place’ Will See Reba McEntire Reunite With Steve Howey
Image
It has been announced that Reba McEntire will reunite with Steve Howey on her new sitcom Happy’s Place. The actor had previously been her co-star on her namesake sitcom, Reba. Howey isn’t the only actor to reunite with McEntire on the new show and more might be planned.

Some Fans Know Him As Van, Others As Kevin

Howey got his first starring role on McEntire’s self-titled sitcom, Reba. On the show, he played Van Montgomery, the ditzy boyfriend and eventual husband of Reba’s daughter Cheyenne. After getting Cheyenne pregnant while still in high school at the start of the series, Van’s parents throw him out, causing him to move into Reba’s household.

First appearing in 2001, Howey remained on the show until its end in 2007. He and Cheyenne’s actress, JoAnna García-Swisher, also appeared in the music video for McEntire’s “Every Other Weekend.”

Image
Steve Howey is addressing the possibility of doing a Shameless reboot.

If you forgot, the 47-year-old actor played Kevin Ball on all 11 seasons of the Showtime series, which ran from 2011 to 2021, starring opposite William H. Macy, Jeremy Allen White, Shanola Hampton, and Emmy Rossum.

In a new interview, Steve explained why he isn’t exactly sold on the idea of Shameless getting a revival.

Keep reading to find out more…“I don’t know if I could even play Kev again,” Steve admitted to TooFab.

“The character that an actor plays is specific at the time of when the actor is playing the character. Especially for me,” Steve explained. “Let’s just say I’m doing a scene from Romeo and Juliet and I’m in an acting class, that scene will be different if I do it 10 times throughout my lifetime because what I bring as a human, as a person,...

How Old Are the Shameless Main Characters?
Image
This article briefly discusses the topic of sexual assault.

Shameless is a show that captivated fans with its controlled chaos and incredible storylines for each and every character. The tale of the Gallaghers and their household was a tragic yet amusing one, but few other shows could keep an ensemble cast as engaged and in focus as Shameless did. The Gallaghers faced their alcoholic father's actions from a young age, and in the nine years that Shameless went on, they did their best to tackle it and rise above the circumstances they had been raised in.

It can be hard to keep track of how old all the main characters were, considering how many characters there were across the show. The timeline of the show could also get quite complicated over 11 seasons, but certain events, like Debbie's pregnancy and Fanny's age, acted as great reference points for how old the main characters of Shameless were.

Shameless: Every Main Character's Fate At The End Of The Series
Image
Showtime is a strong cable network thats responsible for some cutting-edge programming over the past few decades, but Shameless has helped define their programming for the past 11 years. Showtime has been home to some influential programs, but none have run longer than Shameless, and it recently wrapped up its run of 134 episodes with a thoughtful final season.

Final seasons often face high expectations, especially when it comes to the ultimate fate of characters that the audience has grown attached to for over a decade. Shameless remains messy and true to itself, right up until the end, which leaves the Gallaghers and the rest of its characters in some interesting places.

Updated on May 6th, 2024 by Fawzia Khan: Shameless had a long and very successful run, and it remains a favorite long after the series finale. Fans are curious to know where their beloved characters ended up after eleven seasons of raucous fun in Chicago,...

Matt Nix’s ‘True Lies’ Series Isn’t a Remake of the ‘Iconic Film': No ‘Giant Muscled Man With an Austrian Accent’
Image
What does a producer do when his next big project is a TV series based on a very popular film that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger? Should he cast a similar type or go in a different direction? “True Lies” showrunner Matt Nix laid it on the line: “There was no universe where we’re gonna cast a giant muscled man with an Austrian accent. That just doesn’t exist.”

“True Lies,” which premieres on CBS Wednesday at 10 p.m. is about a suburban couple that is at the doldrums in their marriage, and the wife (Helen) is concerned her husband (Harry) might be having an affair only to discover that he is in fact an international superspy. The discovery shakes up their marriage, but also reinvigorates it, especially when she is brought into the spy agency, and her life changes dramatically.

Steve Howey, who is best known for playing Kevin Ball on “Shameless,...

What We Know About Steve Howey's Love Life
Image
Steve Howey landed small roles on TV throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s before ultimately securing the recurring role of Van Montgomery on the WB sitcom "Reba" from 2001 to 2007. Howey's role on "Reba" helped propel him into the spotlight, which led to his performances in films like "Bride Wars" and shows like "Psych" in the mid to late 2000s. Arguably, Howey is most known for his role as Kevin Ball in the acclaimed Showtime series "Shameless," which he starred in from 2011 to 2021. Up next, Howey is starring in the CBS action series "True Lies," which premieres on the network and Paramount+ on March 1.

Outside of his lengthy acting career, though, Howey has maintained a private personal life. The actor's only public relationship has been with fellow actor Sarah Shahi, whom he was married to from 2009 to 2021. Following his divorce from Shahi, Howey appears to be single and focused on his career at the moment,...

‘True Lies’: ‘Shameless’ Alum Steve Howey To Star In CBS Drama Pilot
Image
Steve Howey has landed the male lead in True Lies, the CBS drama pilot adaptation of James Cameron’s 1994 action comedy movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. The casting of the Schwarzenegger role restarts the project after the network hit pause on the 20th Television-produced pilot in March, rolling it to off-cycle.

Written by Matt Nix and to be directed by Anthony Hemingway, the pilot’s plot is true to its movie roots: Shocked to discover that her bland and unremarkable computer consultant husband (Howey) is a skilled international spy, an unfulfilled suburban housewife is propelled into a life of danger and adventure when she’s recruited to work alongside him to save the world as they try to revitalize their passionless marriage.

Howey, who played Gallagher family friend Kevin Ball in all 11 seasons of Showtime’s Shameless, will play Harry, the benign, play-it-safe computer salesman and devoted...

Shameless Season 11: Release Date, Cast, Story, and News
William H. Macy, Steve Howey, Cameron Monaghan, Shanola Hampton, Jeremy Allen White, Ethan Cutkosky, and Emma Kenney in Shameless (2011)
All good things must come to an end. All debauched things too. Which may explain how we’re here, staring at the Great Beyond for the Gallagher Brood of Shameless. Aye, two seasons after Emmy Rossum left the series as one of its ostensible lead characters, Fiona Gallagher, the series itself is resuming production and winding down in the age of Covid. That doesn’t mean it won’t go out swinging and drinking though!

Shameless Season 11 Release Date

The eleventh and final season of Shameless begins on Dec. 4, 2020. Don’t pretend like you will have somewhere better to be!

Shameless Season 11 Cast

The final year of Shameless will bring back (almost) all the familiar faces. William H. Macy is still the deadbeat and self-deluding patriarch, Frank Gallagher, while Jeremy Allen White will actually be attempting to take on that leadership role as Lip Gallagher; Emma Kenney returns as Debbie,...

William H. Macy, Steve Howey, Cameron Monaghan, Shanola Hampton, Jeremy Allen White, Ethan Cutkosky, and Emma Kenney in Shameless (2011)
The Shameless Cast Has Completely Changed Over the Course of 9 Seasons
William H. Macy, Steve Howey, Cameron Monaghan, Shanola Hampton, Jeremy Allen White, Ethan Cutkosky, and Emma Kenney in Shameless (2011)
It's hard to believe that the show about our favorite dysfunctional family just went into its ninth season. For nearly a decade, we've tuned in to Shameless to watch the Gallaghers attempt to navigate their controversial schemes and unfathomable debacles. We've seen the craziest plot lines, from Frank Gallagher attempting to seduce his own daughter to Liam's kidnapping. It's safe to say the show is a nonstop shock fest, and we expect season nine will feature no shortage of unimaginable drama and cringeworthy twists.

Through the years, we've watched Lip Gallagher and Kevin Ball glow up into two sexy studs, but the entire cast has truly undergone a complete transformation. While we continue to enjoy the season nine antics, we're looking back on the cast through the years, and you won't believe the changes. Keep reading for the side-by-side comparisons.
