- Nikolay Averyushkin is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actor, singer, composer, songwriter. In 1974 he graduated from the vocational art school. In 1978, he entered the All-Russian Creative Workshop of Variety Art at Rosconcert. In 1980, he graduated from this workshop and entered the October Revolution Music College (later the A. Schnittke Moscow State Institute of Music) in the musical comedy department. In 1983, his entire course was transferred to the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. In 1984, he graduated from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music.
Since 1979, he began acting in films, debuting in the film Vozmi menya s soboy (1979). He became widely known in 1983 after the leading role in the popular comedy Nous sommes du jazz (1983), directed by Karen Shakhnazarov.
In 1983, Averyushkin became the head of the theater studio at Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography. In 1988, he opened one of the first cooperative theaters in the country called 'Elita', which received the title of diploma winner at the international competition 'Theater Experiment-90'.
