    • Elise Aulinger was born on December 11, 1881 in Munich, Germany. She was an actress, known for Der Schimmelkrieg in der Holledau (1937), Der Feuerteufel (1940) and L'amour est une mélodie (1956). She died on February 12, 1965 in Munich, Germany.

Trivia

  • Popular Bavarian character actress and singer. From 1925 to 1945, regularly heard on local radio ("Deutsche Stunde in Bayern"). On stage from 1903 (in Anzengruber's "Der Meineidbauer") and often with the Volkstheater in Munich. In films from 1921, invariably as sagacious, down-to-earth farmers, maids, midwives or mothers.
  • Twelve years after her death they erected a monument to her in the form of a fountain at the Viktualienmarkt.
  • Elise Aulinger was married with the author Max Sommer alias Max Ferner.
  • She made her acting debut in 1901 at the Münchner Volkstheater, where she soon became a fixed great figure, among others she acted in plays by Ludwig Thoma. Finally the Münchner Kammerspiele became her second home and she entertained the public with impressive roles which ranged from comedies to classic plays.
