Arpón gained recognition for her work in The House That Screamed (1969), which marked her entry into the Spanish film industry. She played Virginia in the Spanish horror film La noche del terror ciego (Tombs of the Blind Dead) (1972), directed by Amando de Ossorio, a film that helped kickstart the Spanish horror film boom of the early 1970s. Throughout the 1970s, she appeared in various productions including Las tres perfectas casadas (1973) and The Fish with the Eyes of Gold (1974). Her filmography includes appearances in Hunchback of the Morgue (1973) and the television series Los paladines (1972), often working under the stage name Helen Harp for international releases.
