‘Titane’ Star Agathe Rousselle & Sallie Harmsen Join Apple TV+ Heist Series ’12 12 12’
Image
Exclusive: Agathe Rousselle, who broke out in 2021 Cannes Palme d’Or winning body-horror Titane, and Sallie Harmsen (Blade Runner 2049) have joined the cast of Apple TV+ heist series 12 12 12, alongside Anthony Mackie, Jamie Dornan, who also produce.

Co-produced by Skydance Television and Anonymous Content, 12 12 12 unfolds across three timelines of a heist: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of the heist, and the 12 days following the heist.

The series follows a disgraced FBI agent (Mackie) and an American career criminal (Dornan) who play a zero-sum game of cat and mouse across Europe. At the center of it all is the daring, epic raid on a bank vault deep beneath the streets of Zurich.

The show is created and written by Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble, who will also executive produce.

Kari Skogland will direct the pilot, as well as executive produce. Mackie executive produces via his Make It With Gravy production company alongside Jason Spire for Inspire Entertainment.

The casting announcement comes hot on the heels of news last week that Ólafur Darri Ólafsson has also joined the cast.

French actress Rousselle, who splits her time between Paris and San Francisco, and Dutch actress Harmsen have signed for regular roles in the series.

In the meantime, Rousselle will next be seen in French director Laurent Slama’s Paris 2024 Olympics-set and shot drama A Second Life, which world premieres in Tribeca in June. She co-stars opposite Alex Lawther (The End of the F**ing World) as a depressed woman working for a holiday lets concierge company, whose life changes when she meets a free-spirited traveller.

Other credits since Titane, in which Rousselle played a psychopath with a titanium plate in her head, have included French Netflix Original Feature Gold Brick and Australian drama How To Make Gravy, while she also appeared in Last Days, an opera based on the Gus Van Sant film, directed by Matt Copson, and performed at both the Royal Opera House in London and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Sallie Harmsen gained international attention in Blade Runner 2049 (2017) opposite Jared Leto, Devils (2020), The Postcard Killings (2020), directed by Oscar-winner Danis Tanović and the BBC-series Delia (2024).

She also starred in Drawback (2023) opposite Claes Bang and will soon be seen in a leading role in the series, Suga, for Amazon Prime Video. She’s been nominated for a Dutch Academy Award (Golden Calf) twice in The Netherlands.

Rousselle is is repped by CAA and Adéquat and Sallie Harmsen is represented by No19 Talent Management and United Agents.

12 12 12 is a co-production between Anonymous Content and Skydance Television. Skogland, Appleton, Keeble, Mackie, Dornan, and Spire will executive produce alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance Television, and David Levine and Garrett Kemble for Anonymous Content. Samantha Corbin-Miller and David Knoller also serve as executive producers.

Anthony Mackie Teases New Project With Chilly Set Video, Is it Avengers: Doomsday?
Image
As the Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster, Avengers: Doomsday, ramps up production, one of its actors shares a chilly behind-the-scenes video, potentially from the set. Star Anthony Mackie releases a cold-weather clip on location for his new project.

On his Instagram Stories, Mackie posted a video of himself filming an unspecified project in a snowy setting. Perhaps ruing that he's a far cry away from spring, Mackie wishes fans a "warm, beautiful sunny day" while looking at the snow falling. Some fans are speculating that this is hinting at Mackie's MCU character, Sam Wilson, heading to a cold location in Doomsday. Notably, Mackie did not state where he was or which project he was working on when posting the video.

Silent Witness Series 27 Premiere Review: TV Show Is Better Than Ever
Image
The following contains major spoilers for Silent Witness Series 27, Episodes 1 and 2, "Effective Range - Part 1 and Part 2," now streaming on BritBox.

Silent Witness is one of the longest-running TV crime dramas -- and the Series 27 premiere illustrates why it's an institution on British television. "Effective Range" marks the return of Dr. Nikki Alexander and company, but it's not just a great Silent Witness premiere; it's a great piece of TV drama, period. Incredible guest stars plus an almost flawless script by Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble (who also penned the Series 26 premiere) make for genuinely gripping television.

"Effective Range" brings back the entire core cast from Series 26, and features Blake's 7 alum Josette Simon -- in her third different role on the show -- as well as former Transplant star John Hannah in the two lead guest roles. The actors have plenty to work with, as the plot concerns a serial killer named Calvin Dunn,...

ITV Cancels Rob Lowe’s British Cop Drama ‘Wild Bill’ After One Season
ITV has canceled Rob Lowe’s fish out of water British cop drama Wild Bill after just one season.

The West Wing star, who currently features in Netflix film Holiday In The Wild, played high-flying U.S. cop Bill Hixon, who was appointed Chief Constable of the East Lincolnshire Police Force in the UK.

But the series failed to arrest a huge audience, averaging just 3.7 million viewers, and it was not picked up by a big player in the U.S. despite Lowe suggesting that Netflix or Hulu could come in for the show.

Wild Bill was produced by 42, MultiStory Media and Anonymous Content. The show was created by The Hunted writer David Griffiths, before Awake creator Kyle Killen came on board with Silent Witness writers Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble. Lowe acted as an executive producer.

An ITV spokeswoman said: “We are immensely proud of Wild Bill and loved...

‘Wild Bill’: First Trailer For Rob Lowe’s Fish-Out-Of-Water British Comedy
Rob Lowe in The Grinder (2015)
“Brits don’t like boasters,” Rob Lowe’s high-flying U.S. cop Bill Hixon is told in the first trailer for ITV drama Wild Bill. He responds by calling East Lincolnshire a “godforsaken cabbage patch,” which nicely sums up the fish-out-of-water series.

The West Wing star plays Hixon, who is appointed Chief Constable of the East Lincolnshire Police Force in the UK in the ITV series, which launches in June. The series is produced by 42, Shiver and Anonymous Content.

Lowe’s Hixon is an analytics expert, a Moneyball-for-police type and he is in Lincolnshire to help bring down the crime rate, while also dealing with his troubled young daughter.

The show was created by The Hunted writer David Griffiths and then Awake creator Kyle Killen came on board with Silent Witness writers Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble. Lowe acts as an exec producer as well as on-screen star.

He told Deadline earlier this year,...

Rob Lowe in The Grinder (2015)
Rob Lowe is enjoying being a fish out of water in British cop drama Wild Bill, which is leading ITV Studios Global Entertainment’s scripted lineup at next week’s Mip TV.

The West Wing star plays high-flying U.S. cop, Bill Hixon, who is appointed Chief Constable of the East Lincolnshire Police Force in the UK. The series is produced by 42, Shiver and Anonymous Content for ITV and launches later this year.

“The interesting sort of flavor of it was what drew me to it, it’s tone really. I love these shows, I love Fargo, Better Call Saul, I love these shows where there’s a titular hero in the middle of it, but surrounded in a world in that is very odd, very different and really authentically intense and violent, and then really really sweet and emotional and then really really funny, all at once.
