In reality, the Officers simply wanted to congratulate him on his performance, but jokingly approached him in a threatening manner.

Was drafted for mandatory military Service by the French Military when he was 18 (as all French Nationals must do). However because he lived most of his life in the USA, he was granted a dispensation from that responsibility only after the US State Department intervened on his behalf.

Attended the University of Maryland at College Park. Was academically dismissed after his second year.

Auditioned and was called back for the role of Samwise in Peter Jackson's Lord Of The Rings trilogy, but lost out to Sean Astin

Attended The Heights School in Potomac, Maryland. The same Opus Dei run Catholic school as the children of FBI double agent Robert Hanssen, played by Chris Cooper in the film Breach, who spied for the Soviets and Russians for over 15 years. Remarkably, the kids of then FBI Director Louis Freeh also attended The Heights.

Performed in a Maryland dinner theatre production of "Carousel" with Colleen Haskell, from "Survivor", who was on the set crew.
