He was an actor and writer, known for A Hora e a Vez de Augusto Matraga (2011), Escolinha do Professor Raimundo (1990) and Tieta do Brasil (1996). He was married to Malga di Paula, Zélia Cardoso de Mello, Alcione Mazzeo, Nancy Wanderley, Rose Rondelli and Regina Chaves. He died on March 23, 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
