  • According to a 1937 Associate Press article by Robbin Coons, Andre was working as a stand-in for Evelyn Daw by day while performing evenings at a nightclub. An accomplished horsewoman, she aspired to be a female star of Westerns.
  • She was part of a detail of Hollywood performers who did a special Christmas show for troupes stationed in Alaska. The headliner of the program was Ingrid Bergman, with Neil Hamilton, singer Joan Barton and musician Nancy Barnes also appearing.
