Well, there was definitely some intriguing heroes revealed in the HD version of Superman's Hall of Justice metahuman mural.
Some of the initial guesses from the low-res screengrabs of the scene were accurate, but others were way off.
Jay Garrick turned out to be Max Mercury, Amethyst ended up being Madame Xanadu, and Doctor Fate was revealed to be Maxwell Lord of all people.

Here is the full list from left-to-right, starting at the top:

As promised, James Gunn has finally released the Hall of Justice's mural from Superman. Charting the history of metahumans in the Dcu, it features a total of 26 characters, many of whom have ties to present-day superheroes such as Zatanna, Wonder Woman, and The Flash.
Now, we have some hi-res shots of the mural, along with a breakdown of every character who appears in it.
The extent of Gunn's plans for this lot beyond being a fun Easter Egg for hardcore DC Comics fans remains to be seen. However, if they're all considered important to the Dcu's past, we'd imagine at least a few of them will show up in this shared world sooner rather than later.
• Sister Symmetry - a powerful sorceress who wields the Cloak of Cyra and is imbued with powers by the Lord of Order.

Several new characters have been confirmed for the new DC Universe after appearing in Superman's biggest Easter egg. James Gunn has chosen to start the Dcu with a lot of world-building. The franchise is being praised for how the world feels lived-in, with the first projects in the Dcu's Chapter One setting up many characters and locations for the future.
The Dcu's canon characters include major players, such as Superman, Green Lantern, and Amanda Waller, as well as lesser-known characters, like the rest of the Creature Commandos crew and Metamorpho. Superman's expansive cast introduced the Justice Gang to the Dcu, and in their headquarters was Superman's biggest Easter egg, which teased many more heroes that exist in the Dcu.
On Twitter, James Gunn shared a full look at the Superman movie's mural at the Hall of Justice, revealing 26 new DC Universe characters.

The ‘Scary Movie’ franchise is important because it popularized parody films that made fun of classic horror and pop culture moments, blending humor with scares in a way audiences loved.
It was a huge success, with the first movie becoming one of the highest-grossing comedies of its time and inspiring other spoof movies.

Twelve years have gone by since the release of a new entry in the Scary Movie horror parody series – but the franchise isn’t going to remain dormant for much longer. Last April, it was announced that the Miramax label at Paramount, which is now operating under new boss Jonathan Glickman, had given the greenlight to a new Scary Movie sequel, with the plan being to get the film into theatres sometime in 2025. Now we know exactly when the new movie is going to be released… but it’s not going to be this year. Scary Movie 6 is scheduled to reach theatres on June 12, 2026. As of right now, we know this is going to put it in direct competition with the next movie from the Daniels, the directing duo behind Best Picture Oscar winner Everything Everywhere All at Once.

The DC Universe is full of powerful characters that often go unrecognized in its movies, full of heroes and villains whose screen presence betrays their staggering strength. Many characters are often painfully glossed over in the eternal debate for who is the most powerful player in DC movie history. Whether due to the fact that they're hidden in an infamously bad film or that they simply don't have enough screen time, many DC movie characters' power levels fly under the radar.
Due to its nature as a high-power-level setting full of gods, monsters, and ancient aliens, the movies of the Dceu contain the lion's share of staggeringly strong heroes and villains that often go underrated as a major player in the hierarchy of the world. That being said, the occasional sneak from an earlier one-off DC film can also manage to be far stronger than they might seem at first glance.

Since Scott Eastwood never came back for Suicide Squad 2 to play his mystery DC character, the door is still open for the actor to join James Gunn's DC Universe in his dream DC role. Eastwood is the son of one of the most influential actors and filmmakers in history, Clint Eastwood. The actor has appeared in quite a few action films over the years, showing his prowess in the genre. However, Scott Eastwood has so far not been called by Gunn to join the Dcu's Chapter One, even though he was already at DC previously.
Eastwood was part of director David Ayer's Suicide Squad. The 2016 movie saw the actor play Lieutenant GQ Edwards. The character was Rick Flag's right-hand man during the Suicide Squad's mission in Midway City. Interestingly, the fate of Eastwood's DC character seemed to be set in stone at the end of the movie.

Chatting withTV Insider this week, Scary Movie mainstay Regina Hall gives an encouraging comment that we’ll see the return of fan favorite Brenda Meeks.
Regina Hall starred alongside Anna Faris in the first four Scary Movie installments, with Faris playing Cindy Campbell and Hall playing her character’s best friend, Brenda. Faris recently commented that she doesn’t plan on returning unless Regina Hall is also asked to return. Luckily, it sounds as though talks may be underway.

Franchise creators Marlon, Shawn and Keenan Wayans are reuniting for the first time in 18 years to write and produce Scary Movie 6.
Scary Movie arrived at exactly the right time to capture the cultural zeitgeist in 2000. Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer were ripe for ribbing, and in Anna Faris and Regina Hall they found the perfect blend of silliness and deadpan reactions that the central characters of Cindy and Brenda needed to make the film work.
According to Deadline, Shawn, Marlon and Keenan Wayans are reuniting for the first time in 18 years to write Scary Movie 6 for Miramax and Paramount. They will also produce with Rick Alvarez. With the popularity of the Terrifier films and recent legacy sequels and prequels in the Scream and Saw franchises, there’s no shortage of material for them to draw on.

As a wise Wayans once said, "Watching TV shows doesn't create psycho killers — cancelling TV shows does!" So perhaps it's the recent epidemic of streamers swinging the axe that's responsible for today's announcement that the Wayans brothers — Marlon, Keenan Ivory, and Shawn — are returning to their iconic Scary Movie horror parody franchise after 18 years away. Per Deadline's reporting, the brothers are working with Rick Alvarez on a script for the slasher series' sixth instalment — and Marlon Wayans took to Instagram earlier to celebrate the exciting news. Check out his post below:

Back in April 2024, we reported that a Scary Movie reboot was in the works. Now, we've just learned that the franchise's creators Keenen Ivory Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Marlon Wayans, aka the Wayans Brothers, are returning to produce and write the screenplay for the upcoming reboot, also widely known as Scary Movie 6. The Wayans Brothers' longtime collaborator Rick Alvarez will also help pen the script and produce.
Fans of the Scary Movie franchise were hoping to see the Wayans Brothers come back in some capacity for the sixth movie, and it looks like their wishes came true. Keenen helmed the first two Scary Movies, while Shawn and Marlon helped write the scripts for those films as well as star. They had nothing to do with the last three movies in the franchise.

If Miramax and Paramount Pictures wanted to get fans interested in the Scary Movie franchise again, this was the exact way to do it. After being ousted from the franchise after 2001's Scary Movie 2, The Wayans Brothers are returning to the series they created for the first time in over twenty years. This represents a full-circle moment for them, who will now get to resurrect the brand for a new generation, following how dirty they were treated once the franchise changed hands because of the Weinstein brothers and Dimension Films.
Per Deadline, Miramax and Paramount Pictures are spearheading the new Scary Movie, first announced at CinemaCon, with The Wayans brothers being brought back to help craft the new film's original screenplay. The project is expected to begin shooting next year, and a full theatrical release is planned for the film. The Wayans brothers will also be getting a screenwriting help from Rick Alvarez,...

The Wayans brothers are teaming up for the first time in years to help bring their Scary Movie franchise back to life.
Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans and Keenen Ivory Wayans are returning to the film series to pen the script for the new project that was announced earlier this year at CinemaCon. Known for satirizing horror flicks, the Scary Movie franchise launched with the first movie hitting theaters in 2000 and spawned four sequels.
Keenen Ivory Wayans wrote and directed the original Scary Movie and its 2001 follow-up, while Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans wrote and starred in those initial two movies. Paramount Pictures will handle global distribution for the forthcoming title through their first-look deal with producer Miramax, which distributed the first three features.
The three Wayans brothers will write and produce the new one with Rick Alvarez. The sixth title in the franchise begins shooting next year ahead of a planned theatrical release.

Power can look like a lot of things, and nothing quite exemplifies that like the world of comic books. In this case, the soon-to-be-defunct DC Extended Universe (Dceu).
The interconnected DC universe hasn’t been around as long as its Marvel counterpart, but the Warner Bros. franchise has served up a kaleidoscopic roster of heroes, supervillains and antiheroes that can do serious damage to their opponents. But they’ve got different ways of doing it.
With his combination of superhuman strength, speed, flight and laser-eyes, Superman can plow through you, pummel you to dust or incinerate you with his vision. He could grab you by the arm and fly 100,000 feet into the air before dropping you back to the ground where your body would most definitely be destroyed. An unresolved part of Translucent's storyline in The Boys may reveal a significant villain for season 4. Played by Alex Hassell, Translucent had the ability to turn invisible and stop bullets due to his carbon metamaterial skin. Like many members of the Seven, however, Translucent often misused his superpowers to prey on unsuspecting innocents. Translucent would become invisible so that he could voyeuristically watch women in Vought Tower's bathrooms.
Translucent was not only the first Supe to die in The Boys season 1, but also the first member of the Seven to be killed by Jack Quaid's Hughie Campbell. However, The Boys failed to wrap up one significant element of his storyline. This could come back to bite the eponymous group of anti-superhero vigilantes in The Boys season 4. Hughie is especially at risk of retaliation, due to him being the one who is specifically responsible for Translucent's explosive demise.

Black Noir's future in The Boys season 4 has an air of familiarity, echoing the fate of another Seven supe. Throughout seasons 1 and 2, Black Noir remained a mystery wrapped inside an almond-averse enigma, but The Boys season 3 revealed the full nature of his backstory in Payback, and the lifelong grudge he held against Soldier Boy. The Boys season 3 then promptly killed Black Noir off, as said grudge attracted the ire of Homelander, who had recently discovered Soldier Boy was his biological father.

John Carpenter once wrote a Western for John Wayne called Blood River, but here's why it didn't happen. Carpenter grew up a major fan of Westerns, with Rio Bravo being his favorite; Assault On Precinct 13 was his take on the same concept. During the early '70s, John Wayne's - who considered Jet Pilot his worst movie - production company optioned the screenplay,...

Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie says she kept one Harley Quinn prop from set. The film boasted an impressive cast, featuring performances from Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto as the Joker, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.
