  • Trivia
Collapsed on stage during the second act of "Portuguese Gal" at the Broad Street Theater in Philadelphia. Since he was portraying a drunken policeman in the rowdy comedy, many in the audience thought his fall was part of his performance. Actress Lenore Ulric quickly realized though, that Allworth was in trouble and ordered the curtain to be brought down. He died a few hours later at a local hospital.
