An authentic London voice, Victoria trained at Central School of Speech and Drama before becoming a regular face on our screens. Her big break came playing Agnes Clarke in the BBC's costume drama The House of Elliott, created by Jean Marsh and Eileen Atkins. To many, she's best known for playing lead regular Julie Saunders in all eight series of ITV's hit prison drama Bad Girls, as well as recurring as Carol (Miche's mum!) across the whole run of the BAFTA-winning BBC sitcom People Just Do Nothing. She's played in parallel universes opposite David Tennant in Doctor Who, sparred with the Chigwell girls in Birds of a Feather, and caused havoc on Albert Square as Lorraine Salter in EastEnders. She can be seen as Val in Alan Carr's semi-autobiographical sitcom Changing Ends on ITVX and as Sue in Mr Big Stuff for Sky. She's also got extensive theatre credentials - she traveled with Caryl Churchill and helped to devise the play Mad Forest, being part of the original cast at the National Theatre. They played in Bucharest (under armed guard!) and then took it to the Royal Court. She's toured throughout New Zealand and also trodden the boards at Theatre Royal Stratford East, Hampstead Theatre and the New Wolsey Ipswich, to name a few. Alongside her own acting career, she also dedicates her time preparing young actors for the industry and providing them with weekly screen acting classes through her highly successful company Acting Up! with Vicky Alcock.
