John Wick 3 screenwriter Chris Collins has partnered with film producer Kelly McKee (Paterno, The Crow) and veteran entertainment attorney Ken Browning to launch a genre media production banner, Generator Entertainment.

Also behind the new production and finance company is Hill Country Studios, a film studio outside Austin, Texas that will help finance upcoming productions set to shoot on its soundstages. The venture aims to develop, produce and finance film, TV and entertainment content around action, sci-fi, and horror projects in the $5 million to $20 million budget range.

James O'Barr's The Crow is getting a new adaptation with a new feature film hitting theaters this summer. To modernize the story, Bill Skarsgrd's Eric was given a look that's more reminiscent of today's rap stars, marking a departure from how Eric Draven appears in the original comic.

In an issue of Empire Magazine (per /Film), Skarsgrd addressed his look in the film. He said he believed he was too fit at the time of filming for that role, feeling that the Eric character shouldn't have been quite so ripped. 15 years after the film first entered development, Rupert Sanders' remake of The Crow has finally found a domestic distribution home in the form of Lionsgate.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate will be handling domestic release for the long-awaited reboot, starring Bill Skarsgard in the titular role. CAA Media Finance reportedly made the deal for the distribution, and Charlotte Koh, executive VP, Lionsgate acquisitions and co-productions, will be overseeing The Crow's release process at Lionsgate.

The producers are aiming to offer audiences an authentic and visually stunning reinterpretation of the emotional power and mythology of The Crow. Bill Skarsgård will play the lead role of Eric, aka The Crow, seeking vengeance for the murder of his fiancée.

The long-awaited reboot of The Crow franchise has received a hugely promising update today, as the Bill Skarsgård-led movie has now been picked up by Lionsgate in a reported eight-figure deal with the studio planning to release the movie in 2024. Under an eight-figure domestic deal, the studio is ready to give the reimagining of the 1994 cult classic the effort it deserves. Rupert Sanders directs, with Bill Skarsgård and musician FKA twigs leading the cast.

Based on the comic book series created, written, and illustrated by James O’Barr, The Crow tells the story of Eric Draven, a tortured soul brought back to life by a crow after the brutal rape and murder of his wife, Shelly Webster. Returned from the dead, Draven channels the regenerative powers of the crow to get revenge on the criminals responsible for his pain and torment. Alex Proyas directs the 1994 cult classic, starring Brandon Lee as Eric Draven, with Michael Wincott, Rochell Davis, Ernie Hudson, David Patrick Kelly, and Bai Ling.

Rupert Sanders directed the feature, with Bill Skarsgard starring as the titular character, which originally debuted in the late 1980s comics by James O’Barr. They centered on a man and his fiancée who are killed by a gang after the couple’s car breaks down. But the man exacts vengeance after being resurrected as the Crow. The late Brandon Lee famously played the character in the 1994 film, and was killed during an on-set accident.

FKA Twigs, Danny Huston, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila and Jordan Bolger star. Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, John Jencks, the late Samuel Hadida and the late Edward R. Pressman produced. Zach Baylin and Will Schneider penned the script.

Hunters is a series created by David Weil starring Al Pacino, Logan Lerman and Saul Rubinek among others.

By Jordan Peele as executive producer, Hunters is in its second season with Al Pacino as maximum attraction of this series about nazi hunters which is appealing because of its aesthetics that are comic strip or “Seventies” look which will not go by unnoticed.

It is not by chance that this is a series with an unmistakeable Peele look, maximum exponent of the “new horror film”. Doubtlessly, this makes it special as well as the very unique way in which absurd is combined with a a series plot that at the same time is a very deep denouncement in social issues.

A very different, entertaining, funny, aesthetic and theatrical series that has a truly spectacular end of season in store for us. Not to be missed.

A few months ago, we shared the news that Bai Ling of The Crow would be starring in Kaleidoscope, a noir serial killer thriller from Joe Cornet (the director of Gunfight at Rio Bravo and its upcoming sequel) and producer Alexander Nevsky (Black Rose). Now we are proud to share the Exclusive announcement that Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight) and Eileen Dietz – who is best known for playing the demon in the classic horror film The Exorcist – have also signed on to star in Kaleidoscope!

Cornet and Nevsky are producing Kaleidoscope together, with Nevsky producing through his Hollywood Storm banner. Filming is scheduled to begin in March. Scripted by Cornet and Kent Hill, the story takes place in 1960s Los Angeles and centers on a mysterious woman from Shanghai (Ling) who may or may not be a serial killer.

The Crow has been in development since 2008, but it took almost 14 years to finally get underway. A release date has yet to be announced, but the film is currently in post-production with filming having wrapped last month. The comic book series The Crow is finally getting a second theatrical film adaptation in the form of the aptly-titled feature The Crow. Directed by Snow White & The Huntsman helmer Rupert Sanders, Bill Skarsgard is taking on the role of Eric Draven/The Crow while FKA Twigs and Danny Huston will play prominent roles in the feature. The second adaptation of this character (not counting a bevy of direct-to-video titles) following the 1994 feature starring Brandon Lee, The Crow has had a much more arduous and lengthy road to the screen than many other superhero films. For many titles in this subgenre, it seems like you can just announce a release date and the movie shows up there like clockwork. Not so with The Crow.

Jordan Peele‘s sci-fi horror extravaganza Nope is making its way to Digital HD tomorrow, September 20, and Bloody Disgusting has a really cool exclusive look at one of the extras, which we should warn is extremely spoilery.

In one of the backstories, a beloved sitcom ape is triggered, sending it on a violent murder spree, killing both stars and members of the studio audience. It’s revealed in this clip that the monkey was played by actor Terry Notary, who is seen acting out the sequence without any CGI covering him!
