Cádiz’s South International Series Festival unveils fiction and non-fiction competitions

The world premiere of Movistar Plus+’s period comedy drama The Short Life (La Vida Breve) will headline the second edition of South International Series Festival, which takes place in Cádiz in southern Spain from October 25-30. It will showcase 47 series, including 12 world premieres and 15 Spanish premieres.

Created by Cristóbal Garrido and Adolfo Valor, and starring Leonor Watling and Javier Gutiérrez, The Short Life is set during the brief reign of Spain’s King Louis I. It is the only world premiere in competition.

Nia Vardalos' "My Life In Ruins" To Debut On Blu-Ray And DVD
"My Big fat Greek Wedding" Star Nia Vardalos' latest romantic comedy from 20th Century Fox, "My Life In Ruins," is premiering on Blu-ray disc and DVD on October 6.

In the film, the actress plays a Greek American tour guide in Greece looking for ways to reconnect with her soul and find her "kefi," Greek for "mojo."

Richard Dreyfus, Alexis Georgoulis, Rachel Dratch, Harland Williams, Maria Adanez, Maria Botto, and Alistair McGowan join the cast. Donald Petrie ("How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days") directed the film.

The film was released in June. It will debut in Blu-ray and DVD on October 6. Special features will include deleted scenes, alternate ending, "Everybody Loves Poupi" - getting to know Greek God Alexis Georgoulis, and audio commentary.
