Was the german voice of Sam the Eagle from the Muppet Show.

The actor Wolf Ackva began his professional career for the Mosse Verlag as a writer. It followed an education for medicine in 1931 which he interrupted in favor of an acting education.

Afterwards he only acted in movies sporadically, among them "Rigoletto hat keine Pause oder Der lästige Ungar" (1981), "Ludwig 1881" (1993) and "Das Zauberbuch" (1996).

He impersonated a lot of movie roles with his striking face for productions like "Hanna Amon" (1951), "Nachts auf den Strassen" (1952), "Der Hund von Baskerville" (1955), "Romeo und Julia" (1957), "Die grünen Teufel von Monte Cassino" (1958) and the successful serial "Die seltsamen Methoden des Franz Josef Wanninger" (1965-1970).

He learned his acting abilities by Otto Balckenberg in Munich.

He was engaged for some movies from 1935.

Besides his activity as an actor Wolf Ackva also realised plays as a director and he was a demanded dubbing actor for stars like Clark Gable, Dirk Bogarde, Henry Fonda, Vincent Price, Bernard Lee, William Holden and Marcello Mastroiann.

His career came temporarily to an end with the outbreak of World War II when he was drafted to the military service. Because he was taken prisoner of war the war ended only in 1948 for him with his release from the captivity.

He made his stage debut in Düsseldorf, it followed engagements in Königsberg, Berlin and Munich.

After his release from captivity he went to Munich where he continued his stage career successfully and he also became a demanded actor for movies and TV productions.

In the 70s followed again numerous appearances in front of the camera. Again he also took part in the continuation of the serial "Die unsterblichen Methoden des Franz Josef Wanninger" (1978-1982).
