There was a talent scout in the audience who recommended that Jensen should pursue acting in L.A. After speaking with his parents, they agreed that instead of starting his college studies (which were by then fully arranged), he would try for 6 months - 1 year to get work as an actor and if that didn't work, he would drop trying to be a professional actor and instead go to college like planned. Jensen got work straight away and has never stopped since.
