- Mother of Maria Furtwängler
- Stepdaughter of conductor Wilhelm Furtwängler. She later married his nephew Bernhard.
- Respected stage actress and director, currently at the Residenztheater in München.
- Known to a wider audience as legendary dubbing voice of Katey Sagal on Mariés, deux enfants (1987).
- Her father, Hans Ackermann, was killed in World War II. Her mother, Elisabeth (née Albert), married the conductor Wilhelm Furtwängler.
- A graduate of the Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts in Munich, she made her stage debut in 1959.
- Latterly taught acting at the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich.
- Voiced the goddess Athena in the German dub of 'Hercules: The Animated Series'.
