William Lava
He was an extremely prolific and capable film composer, educated at Northwestern University. He studied conducting with Albert Coates, and came to Hollywood in 1936. His chief collaborators were Harry Tobias, Stan Jones, Max Steiner, Sammy Cahn, Franz Waxman, Henry Mancini, Ray Heindorf, and Frank Skinner.
