    • Helen Vita was born on August 7, 1928 in Hohenschwangau, Germany. She was an actress and writer, known for Cabaret (1972), Die Feuerzangenbowle (1970) and Le rôti de Satan (1976). She was married to Walter Baumgartner. She died on February 16, 2001 in Berlin, Germany.

  • After studying acting at the Conservatoire de Genève, she made her stage debut in Paris (1946).
  • One of Germany's most popular cabaret artists and chanson singers, mostly performing on stage with pianist Paul Klein until his death in 1989.
  • Toured together with Evelyn Künneke and Brigitte Mira with the successful stage show "Drei alte Schachteln" (Three old bags) in the 1990s.
  • Her father was a concertmaster, her mother a cellist. In 1939, the family was forced to leave Germany and went to her father's native country Switzerland.
  • Had 2 sons with her late husband Walter Baumgartner.
