Adam Sandler makes his grand return to the green in the latest teaser for Happy Gilmore 2, set to arrive July 25 on Netflix.
The clip for the highly-anticipated sequel opens with Sandler’s Happy gazing upon the busts of some of golf’s greats — Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods, before getting to his own less-than-flattering statue and quipping: “SpongeBob? What is that? What’s with the beaver teeth?”

Set to the tune of “Pilot” by Magic, the video out Tuesday shows Happy return to the world of pro golf against today’s hottest, real-life players nearly 30 years after the events of the first film. Still, he’s clearly made a name for himself in the time since as he’s considered one of the greats alongside Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.
Julie Bowen, Bad Bunny and Ben Stiller each get their own moments in the clip, while Christopher McDonald, Dennis Dugan and Allen Covert are set to reprise their roles in the sequel to the 1996 sports comedy classic. Saturday Night Live took aim at MSNBC this weekend in a skit that satirized the network’s coverage of President-elect Donald Trump and the personalities of its anchors.
The sketch featured Sarah Sherman as Rachel Maddow, who introduced herself by warning viewers, “Dads better hide their older, bookish-looking lesbian daughters.”
The segment parodied MSNBC’s panel discussions, describing the featured analysts as “basically like The Avengers for your aunt.” Cast members portrayed network regulars, including Ari Melber, Joy Reid, Stephanie Ruhle and Chris Hayes, skewering their on-air quirks.
Ego Nwodim, playing Reid, asserted that the network would focus on Trump’s actions rather than his words, saying, “This time around, we’re not gonna get sucked in by every new shiny, crazy statement from Trump.” Moments later, Sherman’s Maddow interrupted with breaking news that Trump allegedly wants to “trade Connecticut for Italy.”

The funny folks of Saturday Night Live had plenty of current events to riff on this week, with Saturday’s episode coming shortly before Donald Trump’s inauguration and while TikTok was going offline amid a ban in the United States. And after James Austin Johnson played Trump in SNL’s cold open on Saturday, host Dave Chappelle — hosting the NBC show for a fourth time — sent a message to the real-life politician. Here are big moments from the episode. Faux Donald Trump laments TikTok’s end Saturday’s cold open featured Sarah Sherman, Ego Nwodim, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman, and Marcello Hernández playing MSNBC talking heads reacting to a torrent of breaking news about Trump. Some of those headlines: Trump wanting to trade Connecticut for Italy, saying that Arnold Palmer had some of the “longest balls in history,” wanting to end the wildfires by filling the Up house with water balloons,...

The panelist began discussing the forthcoming inauguration, the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles and the TikTok ban.
“Hello, and welcome to MSNBC. I am Rachel Meadow and Dads, you better hide your older bookish lesbian daughters because yeah, I’m back on TV tonight for our special inauguration weekend coverage,” Sherman says.
Before the panelists could even get into the topics of the day. Sherman interrupts them saying, “We have some breaking news. Trump has apparently just told reporters that he would like to quote Trade Connecticut.”

Jon Stewart was just as shocked by the presidential election result as you were. In the immediate aftermath, the part-time “Daily Show” host was able to gather himself enough to promise that another Donald Trump presidency “is not the end.”
Last week was about mourning — and hopefully, some comfort — this week is about figuring out just what the fuck went wrong. Stewart spent much of Monday night’s episode analyzing exactly that. One key takeaway: “Democrats never once mentioned Arnold Palmer’s c**k.”
Though that may be the biggie, there were also other possibilities, like how the Harris campaign blew much of its $1 billion in funding on a stupid ground game.
“You know if there’s one thing people love, more than someone appearing randomly at their door once, it’s that same f**king person coming back two or three times to talk politics,” Stewart said. “Even though...

Seth Meyers is worried about more than just Donald Trump’s second term.
“Well, Donald Trump has won the 2024 election and he’ll be president again for four more years, or eight, or 12, or whatever,” he said with a worried laugh while opening his first “Closer Look” segment after Election Day. “We live in an infinite time where Donald Trump has always been and will always be the center of the universe. There can be no escape. All hail our powerful and benevolent supreme leader.”
Meyers was joking, of course, as the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution prohibits anyone from serving more than two terms as president — though Trump did once a post a video online that edited a Time magazine cover to depict himself running for office indefinitely into the future.
Continuing the bit, Meyers said, “Windmills do cause cancer. Hannibal Lecter was a lovely man. And if I’m lying,...

The hosts of “The View” may be known for some extravagant Halloween costumes, but on Thursday morning, they turned up for the show dressed as normal. That’s because, according to the hosts, it’s not the time for frivolity with the presidential election just days away.
To kick off the episode, the show ran a pre-taped segment beginning with the hosts in a meeting with executive producer Brian Teta, begging to have some fun. He concedes that they can have at least a little fun, but with the election just a few days out, they need to remain serious.
From there, Teta pivots the meeting to talking about the Behind the Table podcast, resulting in each of the hosts falling asleep — and having horrible Trump-ridden nightmares.
For Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin, the terror was based on Trump’s “Purge”-like suggestion of “one really violent day.” As they run,...

Jimmy Kimmel has spent years covering Donald Trump's speeches, rallies, and every other kind of event held in the MAGAverse. But according to the late-night TV host, this weekend's Madison Square Garden rally was the "nuttiest" one of all time.
Some comedians knew that Trump's Msg rally would be a disaster before it even started. But few could have predicted what happened in New York City over the weekend. A mixture of weirdness, racist jokes, and oddball speakers came together to form what was supposed to be Donald Trump's closing argument to American voters.

Bill Maher Says A Second Trump Presidency Would Be Like “Rebooting ‘The Cosby Show’ With Bill Cosby”
During his opening monologue for tonight’s installment of Real Time with Bill Maher, host Bill Maher cracked jokes across political aisles, taking hits at candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, as well as the Menedez brothers.
Getting started with a Halloween-themed joke ahead of the weekend, he said, “I’ve already seen so many people out, wearing crazy makeup, trying to scare people — what Trump calls campaigning. Kamala, also, in the Halloween mood; she loves it when the little kids come up on her porch and say those three little words: ‘Please don’t shoot.'”
Maher, whose prediction that Harris will win received cheers, cautioned that they’re not through the wringer yet, joking, “Her supporters are getting very nervous, they just can’t put their finger on it, but they feel something is wrong, like when Doug Emhoff drives the babysitter home.”

Sara Haines likes to normally keep things easy going on The View. Where some of the hosts, such as Sunny Hostin, are often very competitive, Sara likes to make jokes and keep things a little more even-keeled. With that said, she got a little lost on a recent episode, and Whoopi Goldberg had to call her out on it.
Here is what happened while the women were talking about penises on The View.

The women on The View were talking about a recent incident where presidential nominee Donald Trump commented on the size of PGA legend Arnold Palmer’s manhood. The comments shocked the world, and the women on the talk show discussed the inappropriateness of the situation.

Whoopi Goldberg started the conversation by mentioning what Trump said about Palmer and all the women started to make jokes about it.

Jon Stewart Criticizes Media for Focusing on Trump’s Absurd Stunts Over “Enemy From Within” Rhetoric
On Monday’s Daily Show, Jon Stewart took on Donald Trump’s trending moments from the campaign trail in recent days: the former president’s staged shift at a McDonald’s and his lewd comments about former pro golfer Arnold Palmer, both in Pennsylvania. However, Stewart didn’t have the same reaction to these incidents that a number of news outlets did.
Instead, the host, calling this the “fever dream” portion of the 2024 election, criticized the media for not focusing on Trump’s dangerous rhetoric like him calling elected officials the “enemy within.”
“Kamala Harris is out there sweating the details over her new opportunity economy. Trump’s just out there farting around,” Stewart said. “That’s his whole campaign right now. ‘Ave Maria’ dance party, ‘I’m going to deport everybody,’ football tailgate, blame the Jews if I lose, McDonald’s drive-thru. While speaking at a campaign rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Tuesday, Donald Trump threw a jab at former President Barack Obama, but not before openly praising authoritarian leaders of Russia and North Korea.
Trump touted Vladimir Putin as “tough” and admired Kim Jong Un‘s love for “producing nuclear weapons,” before bragging that the North Korean leader “thought Obama was a real jerk.”
“And I think he’s a real jerk, because I’ve watched him campaign over the last couple of days,” Trump further lamented. “What a divider he is.

Over the weekend, Donald Trump offered America’s late-night TV hosts two irresistible jumping off points for bits: A hokey McDonald’s photo op and a shaggy dog story about the size of Arnold Palmer’s schlong. Luckily, this was no red pill/blue pill situation, and jokes abounded for both, but easily the funniest ones pertained to the whole Palmer penis thing.
On Saturday, Trump spoke at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and, ostensibly inspired by the locale, rambled his way into an anecdote (?) about the great golfer.

Republicans may not want the media focusing on Donald Trump’s latest bizarre tangent, this time about the size of Arnold Palmer’s penis, but Seth Meyers really doesn’t want to be talking about it. As the NBC host revealed, he was traumatized even just learning about it — from a perfect stranger, while he was spending time with his kids.
During his “A Closer Look” segment on Monday night, Meyers dragged Trump’s entire derailment of his rally speech, which started by rehashing Palmer’s entire childhood. Calling the story “bad and long,” Meyers snarked that there are better outlets for him to do this in.
“Seriously, man, if you want a podcast, I’m sure someone will give you a podcast,” Meyers snarked. “And you can tell these stories to whoever wants to hear them, but they can also fold their laundry while they’re listening.”

While many are distracted by Donald Trump‘s recent McDonald’s drive-thru publicity stunt and his explicit comments about Arnold Palmer’s nether regions, Jon Stewart is focused on more serious matters. On Monday’s (October 21) episode of The Daily Show, Stewart highlighted comments the former president made in an interview with Fox News last week where he said, “We have two enemies, the outside enemy, and then we have the enemy within.” “The enemy within is more dangerous than China, Russia, and all these countries,” Trump stated. “We have some very bad people, sick people, radical left lunatics, and it should be very easily handled by, if necessary, the National Guard or, if really necessary, by the military.” “That’s not fun-loving and mischievous,” Stewart said in response to Trump’s comments. “That sounded quite threatening. That’s actually worthy of some real examination.” Stewart showed a clip of...

Donald Trump added another topic to his long list of rally talking points when he brought up legendary golfer Arnold Palmer's anatomy. The bizarre moment led to Stephen Colbert attempting to decipher exactly why it came up just weeks before the election.
Over the weekend, Donald Trump held a rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. It happened to be the home of golf icon Arnold Palmer, and apparently that was enough to get the ex-president thinking about locker room stories.
"This is a guy that was all man," Trump said in an unscripted moment. "This man was strong and tough, and I refuse to say it, but when he took showers with the other pros, they came out of there, they said, 'Oh my God, that's unbelievable.'"

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz made his debut appearance on “The Daily Show” Monday night, where he sat down with host Jon Stewart to discuss his and Vice President Kamala Harris’ outreach to individuals who don’t want to vote for Donald Trump on Election Day.
“Folks are still talking. And I know it’s hard to imagine, there’s a lot of folks who are still deciding what they’re gonna do,” Walz said. The Democratic vice presidential candidate mentioned he’s been in “mostly the swing states” recently as he continues campaigning with Harris.
“The folks I’m talking to, they’re probably — they are Republicans, and they say it,” Walz added. “A Republican introduces me in Omaha, he said, ‘I can’t stand with this guy anymore. That’s not the party of Reagan. This isn’t freedom.’ Whatever it may be, it’s a lot of those...

Appearing at a Pennsylvania rally this evening, Donald Trump veered off into a story about Arnold Palmer that got into comments about the size of the late golfer’s private parts.
The moment came a bit too late in the day to be parodied on tonight’s Saturday Night Live, but it stood out on social media coverage of the Latrobe, Pa event, held in the town where Palmer was born.
“Arnold Palmer was all man, and I say that in all due respect to women. And I love women. But this is a guy that was all man.”
“This man was strong and tough, but I refuse to say it but when he took the showers with the other pros, they came out of there. They said, ‘Oh my God. That’s unbelievable.’ I had to say it. We have women that are highly sophisticated here.”

Humiliating himself with his conduct interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris earlier this week, Bret Baier probably won’t find the bracing cold open of Saturday Night Live tonight very amusing. As the Fox News anchor was during his sit-down with the VP on October 16, Baier will be in the wrong.
“The pleasure is neither of ours,” said Maya Rudolph’s Harris to the Alec Baldwin-portrayed Baier in the very funny and sharp cold open. Yes, you read that right: Alec Baldwin.
In a bit of shocker, this is longtime Donald Trump-playing Baldwin’s first return to SNL since his involuntary manslaughter trial for the fatal 2021 shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was tossed out because of suppressed evidence by New Mexico prosecutors. Before the trial, which could have seen him go behind bars for up to 18 months if found guilty, the 17-time SNL host Baldwin previously was on...

Friday, June 17, 1994 was a monumental day for professional sports in America. For the most part, fans and media knew this when they woke up. The highlights:
Arnold Palmer — the most beloved golfer on the planet; a charismatic force of nature who commanded "Arnie's Army" and popularized the sport amongst working class people — was, barring a furious comeback from a 64-year-old man, set to close out his final round at the U.S. Open in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. In Chicago, the 1994 FIFA World Cup commencement ceremony was taking place, and was doubly significant for marking the first time the prestigious soccer tournament would be held in the United States. 500 miles southwest of the Windy City, baseball fans were keeping an eye on the Seattle Mariners tilt with the Kansas City Royals, wherein phenom Ken Griffey Jr. could potentially tie Babe Ruth's MLB record for most home runs before June 30 (of note...

When golfers make it to the green at the Directors Guild Foundation’s tournament later this month, all they have to remember is the words of the late Chubbs: “Just tap it in.” That will no doubt be a mantra that entire day, as the Dgf has named their annual golf tournament fundraiser after the late Carl Weathers, a fitting tribute to the actor who passed away in February.
The honor is no doubt an earned one, as Carl Weathers not only served as a key member of the Dgf but played a rather beloved character in one of the quintessential golf movies. We all remember that Chubbs was poised to be the next Arnold Palmer, but his pro career was cut short when an alligator bit his hand off after he tried retrieving his ball from a lake. Hasan Minhaj Addresses 'New Yorker' Article Amid Claims of Lying in Comedy Specials, Author Responds
Hasan Minhaj is speaking out.
The 38-year-old comedian and TV host shared a video on Thursday (October 26), in which he addressed allegations that he lied and/or embellished stories told in past comedy stand-up specials, as explored in a New Yorker article.
“Every story in my style is built around a seed of truth. My comedy Arnold Palmer is 70% emotional truth — this happened — and then 30% hyperbole, exaggeration, fiction,” he’s quoted as saying in the article.
Keep reading to find out more…In the new video, he says the profile, written by Clare Malone, has “omissions and factual errors” that “misrepresented my life story, so I wanted to give people the context and materials I provided The New Yorker with full transparency.”
The New Yorker issued a response, which the author shared on X: “Hasan Minhaj confirms in this video that he selectively presents information and embellishes to make a point: exactly what we reported.

Comedian Hasan Minhaj has come under some fire lately for admitting that a number of stories built into his stand-up sets aren’t entirely based on fact. As the comedian put it, “Every story in my style is built around a seed of truth…My comedy Arnold Palmer is 70% emotional truth — this happened — and then 30% hyperbole, exaggeration, fiction.” This should seem fairly obvious, shouldn’t it? We may not consciously think of it while the performance is going on, but we can’t reasonably expect each and every sentence and story in a stand-up comedian’s act to be completely factual, right? Well, as it turns out, some do.

Hasan Minhaj's background as a trusted source of political and social news puts him in a different category from typical stand-up comedians. Minhaj has been called out for making up stories for comedic effect, including fabricating personal hardships and experiences. The controversy surrounding Minhaj highlights the issue of "oppression porn" and the delegitimization of real stories of oppression by using fabricated narratives for personal gain.

Comedian Hasan Minhaj has offered a response after he was criticized for various "fabrications" he'd told on stage during his act.

As several stories told in the act were unable to be factually verified, Minhaj confirmed to the publication that he had exaggerated certain bits for comedic effect, though he noted that they were still all stemming from true events.

Hasan Minhaj is revealing that his stories in stand-up comedy sets are all part of an “emotional rollercoaster ride” for audiences and not based on facts.

In a new profile published by The New Yorker, comedian, former “Patriot Act” host and “The Daily Show” alum Hasan Minhaj admitted to fabricating details in past stand-up specials, such as 2022’s “The King’s Jester” that streamed on Netflix.

One story Minhaj told in “The King’s Jester” related to an envelope with white powder that was sent to his home. Naturally, he thought the powder was anthrax. According to the comedian in the special, the powder accidentally spilled onto his daughter and she was rushed to the hospital. The doctor told him it was not anthrax. Later that night, he said his wife told him: “You get to say whatever you want onstage, and we have to live with the consequences.
