Exclusive: Corey Fogelmanis (Ma) has been tapped to lead the drama I Wish You All the Best, based on Mason Deaver’s bestselling 2019 novel of the same name, which Tommy Dorfman will write, direct and produce for Ace Entertainment.

Exclusive: Cranked Up Films has acquired North American rights to This Game’s Called Murder, an indie thriller from writer-director Adam Sherman (Wristcutters: A Love Story), with plans to release it in theaters and on demand December 3rd.

Exclusive: Los Angeles-based Premiere Entertainment Group has taken international rights to This Game’s Called Murder, Adam Sherman’s (Happiness Runs) thriller starring Ron Perlman. Also starring are Vanessa Marano (Switched at Birth), and Natasha Henstridge (Species).

The movie follows the daughter (Marano) of iconic women’s luxury footwear designer Mr. Wallendorf (Perlman) who sabotages her sadistic father’s business in a dark tale of murder, greed, and betrayal based in a consumer-crazed society. Henstridge plays Wallendorf’s wife. James Lastovic, Judson Mills, Tyler Steelman, Annabel Barrett, and Tory Devon Smith round out the key cast.

While many critics bashed this one, I was fortunate enough to see it on the big screen, and honestly, I rather enjoyed it. It’s not a terrific film, and not as animalistic as Jeepers Creepers, or as atmospheric as Salva’s, Clownhouse, but it’s creepy in spots, and it’s certainly a break from current trends. Rose McGowan (Scream), Ray Wise (Chillerama), Lauren Vélez (Dexter), Judson Mills (Chill Factor) and Daniel Ross Owens (The Final) star.

More distro news is coming in, this time for the new flick from the director of Jeepers Creepers, Victor Salva, entitled Rosewood Lane. Look for the flick on DVD and Blu-ray on September 11th. No specs have been announced yet, but stay tuned.
