White Lotus is halfway through its third season, and the drama is finally intensifying for several characters staying at the Thailand resort. After a local celebration that found three of the privileged vacationers targeted and water gunned, and Belinda recognized Tanya’s toxic ex-husband Greg (who goes by Gary now), the danger is escalating. But we noticed that one of the actors helping drum up the drama and the comedy of the show has soap roots. Which actor is it?

Gritty. Sombre. Grey. Literally, very grey, because this is Portland, Maine: the cold, northern, almost Canadian bit of the USA where men are men and, seemingly, lobsters are the only business in town. Well, lobsters, and drugs. Because smuggling your contraband in lobster pots is the way to go.
Downeast is the very downbeat tale of a cold case murder. Mikey (Spencer Watson) and Tommy (Greg Finley) are best of buddies: Tommy is on the verge of dating Mikey’s sister, Emma (Dylan Silver). Then tragedy strikes. Mikey is murdered, in an incident that “no-one knows nuffink about.” Unless you count small fish crime lord Kerrigan (Judson Mills) or his homicidal henchperson Brennan (Joss Glennie-Smith). But they’re not saying neither!

"Only reason you're here is 'cause I spared you." Fs.net is honored to exclusively premiere the first official trailer for an indie thriller titled Downeast, the latest feature from actor / filmmaker Joe Raffa. The film is premiering at the 2021 Garden State Film Festival later this month, and this trailer is being released early to build up some buzz. Written and directed by Raffa, Downeast is a story of love, loss, and redemption diving into the often ignored seedy underbelly of Maine. The story follows a woman who returns to her hometown and begins to uncover the web of lies the town has been keeping while reconnecting with an old flame. The film combines crime, revenge and most importantly, the hope for a new life. Starring Greg Finley, Dylan Silver, Judson Mills, Kirk Fox, and Gareth Williams. This looks like a gritty, rough and tumble mob thriller exploring the not-so-nice...

The home video trailer and artwork for Rosewood Lane has hit the interwebs, and after watching, we have one question: Why is Goblin's Suspiria theme playing during the trailer? Odd. Very, very odd. Look for the flick on DVD and Blu-ray on September 11th.
Rosewood Lane (review here) stars Rose McGowan, Ray Wise, Lin Shaye, Lauren Vélez, Lesley-Anne Down, Bill Fagerbakke, Rance Howard, Judson Mills, Steve Tom, Ashton Moio, Sonny Marinelli, Tom Tarantini, Christopher Gehrman, Mark Irvingsen, and Deanna Lynn Walsh.
Synopsis
Radio talk show therapist Sonny Blake moves back to her childhood home after her alcoholic father dies. Upon her return to the old neighborhood, Sonny discovers her neighbors are terrified of the local paperboy.
She thinks this is ridiculous, until she encounters the boy herself and learns the hard way that he is a cunning and dangerous sociopath. One who may have killed her father and several others.

While many critics bashed this one, I was fortunate enough to see it on the big screen, and honestly, I rather enjoyed it. It’s not a terrific film, and not as animalistic as Jeepers Creepers, or as atmospheric as Salva’s, Clownhouse, but it’s creepy in spots, and it’s certainly a break from current trends. Rose McGowan (Scream), Ray Wise (Chillerama), Lauren Vélez (Dexter), Judson Mills (Chill Factor) and Daniel Ross Owens (The Final) star.
