Sharon Stone & Carl Lewis Get Behind Kamala Harris: “This Is A Qualified Person… Not A Game Show Host Who Looks Like A 1975 Vegas Act”
Image
Sharon Stone and legendary long jump champion Carl Lewis both voiced support for Kamala Harris in her bid to become U.S. president, on the fringes of a gala at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday evening.

“I’m all in for Kamala Harris,” said Stone. “It’s not only because she’s a woman and because we see clearly in businesses that women leaders are better leaders, and that men who hire women within their companies do better.

“We understand that Kamala Harris was a lawyer, who became a prosecutor, who became an attorney general, who became a senator, who then was a presidential candidate, who gained so much respect in that campaign that she was asked to become vice president of the United States. This is a qualified person. This is not a game show host who looks like a 1975 Vegas act.”

Following President Joe Biden’s decision last...

Danny Brown Drops New Album Quaranta: Stream
Image
Danny Brown has dropped his new album, Quaranta, out now via Warp Records. Stream it below via Apple Music or Spotify.

Quaranta means “40” in Italian, and had been teased by the now 42-year-old Brown for years. The 11-track project features appearances from Mike, Bruiser Wolf, and Kassa Overall, with production from The Alchemist, Quelle Chris, frequent collaborator Paul White, in-house Bruise Brigade producer Skywlkr, and more.

The LP was written during the solitude of the pandemic, forcing Brown to look inward as he processed feelings of pain and isolation. In that sense, Quaranta captures how Brown hit rock bottom before spending a lengthy stint in rehab for alcohol and drugs earlier this year.

“There wasn’t too much to do, so it was the best thing for me to do — put everything I was going through into the music,” he said in a statement. “A lot of people make concept albums,...

Bryan Singer Self-Financing New Documentary to Address Sexual Assault Claims (Exclusive)
Image
In October 2017, Bryan Singer appeared energetic and in control as he welcomed Olympic diver Greg Louganis and Queen guitarist Brian May on the London set of “Bohemian Rhapsody.” But behind the scenes, chaos reigned. The onetime Hollywood wunderkind’s career was about to unravel, as Fox executives were growing weary of Singer’s pro- longed absences and erratic behavior. On Dec. 4, Fox pulled the trigger and fired Singer, replacing him with Dexter Fletcher. As Louganis and May smiled for photos with the acclaimed director, it marked one of Singer’s last known days on a film set.

Getting fired from “Bohemian Rhapsody” was a public humiliation for a filmmaker who had racked up hit after hit. But a series of personal scandals would dwarf that professional setback. Over the ensuing five and a half years, Singer tried to reenter the fray with an $80 million remake of ’80s action film “Red Sonja” for Millennium Films.

“The Glass House”

ABC put 14 contestants into a house, and let America vote to decide who would be evicted and who would win $250,000. But with low ratings and a lawsuit from CBS claiming the show was a ripoff of “Big Brother,” “The Glass House” lasted just one season.

“I Wanna Marry ‘Harry'”

More than a few dating competition shows involve some kind of deceit, but few were as ridiculous as the one at the center of Fox’s “I Wanna Marry ‘Harry.'” Starring a male lead with only a slight resemblance to the British prince, the show pushed the limits of credulity.

“Joe Millionaire”

Attempting to expand on the format perfected by “The Bachelor,” Fox debuted “Joe Millionaire” just one year later, pitting contestants against each other for the affections of an average Joe whom they believed to be rich. Over a decade later, star Evan Marriott is still apologizing for deceiving those women.

But in May, a woman reached out via ancestry.com and told him, “I think you might be my aunt’s son.”

On Mother’s Day he called his mom, retired medical assistant Cynthia Harris, 73, for the first time.

Sharks Crash Into Famous Landmarks in Ridiculous Teaser Trailer For Sharknado 5: Global Swarming
SyFy has released the first teaser trailer for Sharknado 5: Global Swarming and it's just as ridiculous as you would imagine. A wave of tornados sweeps the world and sharks crash into and destroy famous landmarks all over the globe.

This is one of those franchises I just don't get. I don't understand how people can waste their time watching it. I'm obviously not the target market.

In Sharknado 5: Global Swarming, the mission gets personal for Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) and his bionic wife, April (Tara Reid) when their young son gets trapped in a traveling ‘nado and transported all over the world. by Murtada

He based the android David in Ridley Scott's Prometheus (2012) on David Bowie and Greg Louganis:

"My mom was a fan of Greg Louganis and I just remember watching the Olympics thinking his walk was so funny and mesmerizing, the economy of movement."

He thought he was miscast as Steve Jobs (2015)

"He [Aaron Sorkin]wrote all that stuff! It was so dense! It was such a mountain,...
