While we still mourn the loss of our other beloved Fox medical drama, The Resident, there’s been a void that has been filled with Doc and its wonderful blend of exciting medical drama, warmth, and humanity in its storytelling.

And there’s no question it’s the most highly anticipated Fall premiere in a frustratingly thin and bleak incoming TV season.

Despite reports of behind-the-scenes drama on Desperate Housewives, Jesse Metcalfe was just happy to be part of the neighborhood.

The actor recently recalled his run on the ABC comedy-drama as teen gardener John Rowland, admitting he “was oblivious” to any on-set friction between the main cast of the show, created by Marc Cherry.

We’re eagerly awaiting the crisp feel of Fall, the cozy vibes of a murderous small town, and the heartfelt drama of our favorite hospital.

“Doc” is gearing up to return for Season 2 this fall, with Felicity Huffman joining the staff alongside Molly Parker and the gang.

The Fox medical drama will return for its 22-episode Season 2 on Tuesday, Sept. 23 and welcome Huffman as Dr. Joan Ridley, former med school professor of Dr. Amy Larsen (Parker.) A trailer for the upcoming season teased Joan’s debut, saying with a stern voice that “every path comes with a price.” Perhaps the most shocking moment of the teaser comes at the end, when Amy shares at least one bit of her memory may be coming back.

The role marks a return to Fox for Huffman, who recently guest starred in the broadcast network’s anthology drama “Accused.” She is best known for her starring role in the ABC drama “Desperate Housewives,” for which she received two Emmy nominations. Created by Raamla Mohamed and the first scripted drama from Onyx Collective (an initiative to create “culturally specific, wildly entertaining content”), Reasonable Doubt stars Emayatzy Corinealdi (Ballers, Hand of God) as Jax Stewart, a high-powered criminal defense attorney from Los Angeles who “fiercely bucks the justice system through wild interpretations of the law and sometimes questionable ethics, all while trying to deal with a failing marriage and the pitfalls of motherhood.”

Elias Voit might be a transformed man (we hope this is the case for real), but his minions are still running rogue in Criminal Minds: Evolution. Zach Gilford, the actor who has so compellingly brought the deranged character to life since the reboot's inception, has revealed he will help steer Voit's arc this season, behind the scenes. Gilford is set to direct an upcoming episode of the crime procedural, but this won't be his first time performing off-screen duties on the series. Gilford first directed Season 2, Episode 8, "North Star," parts of which centered around the Bau unraveling further details about Voit's sinister Sicarius network.

Several episodes later, the activities of the deadly network continue to keep the Bau busy, even though their leader has now seemingly turned a new leaf. The previous episode, "The Brutal Man," sees Gilford agreeing to work with the Bau to crack down on every last member of the network.

The film immediately positions itself as a harrowing biographical thriller, not just about escaping a physical place, but about the impossibility of escaping memory itself. It explores the deep scars of psychological captivity and the sheer will required to survive when your entire world was designed to control you.

Kelly Thiebaud, a Daytime Emmy winner for her original run as General Hospital’s Dr. Britt Westbourne, is heading back to the ABC sudser — two years after her character died at the hands of a serial killer.

According to our sister site Deadline, which first reported on the encore, it is unclear if Thiebaud will in fact be playing Britt again, or a new character.

Felicity Huffman is speaking out about the upcoming new Desperate Housewives series.

The 62-year-old actress previously starred in the original ABC drama as Lynette Scavo, for all eight seasons.

In a new interview, Felicity revealed how she feels about the upcoming reimagining that is in the works from executive producer Kerry Washington.

“I’m completely 100 percent behind it,” she told E! News. “Kerry Washington—it’s so great that she’s doing it with women of color. It’s exactly what’s needed.”

“I think Marc Cherry, who created it and is brilliant, is involved,” Felicity added. “So, it’s going to be a great ride.”

At the time of the announcement back in April, it was unknown if Marc would be involved, and it’s also unknown if Kerry will star or just produce.

With some new housewives moving onto one of TV’s most famous streets, Felicity Huffman is welcoming them to the neighborhood.

The Oscar nominee, who portrayed Lynette Scavo on ABC‘s Desperate Housewives, recently reacted to news of Kerry Washington‘s Onyx Collective offshoot Wisteria Lane, which Deadline exclusively announced last month.

“Isn’t that great? They’re gonna do Wisteria Lane with women of color, and I am all for it,” she said on Good Morning America, before joking: “I am gonna do craft service for it. But I just think it’s wonderful, and I’m a huge fan of Kerry’s.”

Huffman had no suggestions on who should take over her role as Lynette, an overworked stay-at-home mother of five children who longs for the workplace and eventually struggles cancer during the show’s eight-season run from 2004 to 2012.

“Oh my god, I have no idea,” said Huffman.
