This $758M Space Drama Took Major Inspiration From A DC Superhero Film & Fans Are Only Now Noticing It
Image
Christopher Nolan Credits Henry Cavill’s Man Of Steel For Influencing His $758 Million Sci-Fi Epic(Photo Credit –Facebook)

When Interstellar dropped in 2014, viewers were awed by its vast space vision. The sci-fi drama pulled in over $758 million globally (via Box Office Mojo), locking in Christopher Nolan’s rank among top-tier filmmakers. What many may have missed is that its rustic, farmland visuals were subtly influenced by an unexpected source—the DC film Man of Steel. Despite different plots and tones, Nolan later admitted that Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot helped shape the bleak farmlands of his crumbling planet.

How Superman’s Kansas Roots Found Their Way Into Christopher Nolan’s Space Odyssey

A very few know that in 2013, Christopher Nolan came aboard Man of Steel as a producer, helping Zack Snyder reimagine Superman through a contemporary lens. Though not in the director’s chair, Nolan played a key role in...

When Steven Spielberg Revealed How A Haunting Real-Life Memory Inspired Saving Private Ryan’s Opening Scene: “Saw Something I’ll Never Forget”
Image
Which Real-Life Memory Inspired The Opening Scene Of Steven Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan?(Photo Credit –Wikimedia/Facebook)

Steven Spielberg has always carried World War II in his bones, as it runs through his stories in different tones and textures. Although the legendary director shifted the lens across drama, action, sorrow, and spectacle, war remained at the center, not as a history lesson, but as a source of something he could not let go of.

Steven Spielberg’s Deep Connection With World War II

Spielberg’s adventure of Indiana Jones chasing relics through Nazi plots worked after the comic mess of 1941. His Oscar epic, Schindler’s List, stripped everything back to something deeply human, and in Saving Private Ryan, the war was not just a setting but the weight crushing every frame. However, the director did not stop with films; he served as executive producer of Band of Brothers, The Pacific,...

When Ryan Gosling Bombed An Audition For This Popular 2000s TV Show: “It Wasn’t The Right Fit”
Image
Which Popular 2000s TV Show Did Ryan Gosling Audition For?(Photo Credit –Facebook)

Today, Ryan Gosling is a two-time Oscar nominee and a certified heartthrob thanks to La La Land and Barbie. But a few decades back, he was just another young actor hustling through TV auditions in hopes of a big break.

It turns out that not all of his tryouts were home runs. In fact, one casting experience left him out in the cold. Long before he won over the world with The Notebook, Gosling failed to impress the team behind Gilmore Girls. Yes, that cozy Stars Hollow show turned him down, and the story behind it is as awkward as it is surprising.

Ryan Gosling’s Gilmore Girls Audition ‘Fell Short’

In the early 2000s, Ryan Gosling was already gaining prominence in casting rooms. Not quite a household name, but someone to keep an eye on. Casting...

Matthew McConaughey’s Long-Forgotten 17% Rotten Tomatoes Rom-Com Leaves Streaming Soon
Image
Matthew McConaughey has been absent from big-screen leading roles for six years now after last starring in The Gentlemen for Guy Ritchie, but one much older project from the star just got a disappointing streaming update. Once the king of the rom-com, McConaughey starred alongside Jennifer Lopez in The Wedding Planner, the 2001 film following a world-renowned wedding planner who breaks the cardinal rule of her trade: Don’t fall in love with a groom. The Wedding Planner is currently streaming on Netflix. Unfortunately, the streamer has confirmed that the last day to watch the film will be on July 31. It earned abysmal scores of 17% from critics and 59% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, but that didn’t stop it from grossing $94 million at the box office against a $35 million budget.

Pamela Falk and Michael Ellis wrote the script for The Wedding Planner, and Adam Shankman directed the film. Shankman most recently...

Bloom, who co-created and starred in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Brammall, who co-created, executive-produced, and starred in Colin From Accounts, have just been cast, but there are no details on their characters yet. The sequel will also mark a reunion between Bloom and screenwriter Aline Brosch McKenna, as the duo created Crazy Ex-Girlfriend together. McKenna had written the 2006 original,...

Fashion fans are starting to get excited for The Devil Wears Prada 2 and star Anne Hathaway is right there with them. She recently shared a tease on her TikTok account that called back to a famous scene from the classic movie.

Steven Soderbergh Recruits a ‘Lord of the Rings’ Icon, 86, in First Image From His Follow-Up to ‘Black Bag’
Image
Steven Soderbergh’s next filmThe Christophers is already making waves — and we now have our first look. The newly released image shows Michaela Coel and Ian McKellen in character as Lori Butler and Julian Sklar, respectively. McKellen, 86, appears to be embracing full “grizzled legend” mode, leaning against a battered doorframe in a rainbow-striped sweater, while Coel’s Lori watches him warily, suitcase in hand. The film, currently in post-production, marks Soderbergh’s follow-up to Black Bag and reunites him with longtime screenwriter Ed Solomon.

Described as a dark comedy, The Christophers centres on the estranged children of a once-famous artist who hatch a morally flexible plan: hire a forger to complete their father’s unfinished work and pass it off as discovered originals after his death. Yes, it’s art fraud with a Soderbergh twist — which means expect stylish plotting, morally compromised characters, and at least one monologue about capitalism.

Why Adrian Grenier's Nate Cooper Didn't Return For The Devil Wears Prada 2
Image
Now that we know that the 2006 comedy-drama "The Devil Wears Prada" is getting a sequel, it begs the question: Who's coming back in terms of the main cast?

On June 30, 2025, the film's official Instagram account posted that "The Devil Wears Prada 2" is in production, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, a whole bunch of the first movie's stars have returned to start filming the sequel, including living legend Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, with Academy Award-winner Kenneth Branagh having also joined the cast. So, what about Adrian Grenier, who played Nate, the "long-suffering" boyfriend of Hathaway's Andrea "Andy" Sachs in "The Devil Wears Prada?"

A separate report in THR exclusively confirmed that Grenier will not be back as Nate in "The Devil Wears Prada 2." As a refresher, the first film kicks off when Andy, who isn't particularly sartorially inclined, gets a job at...

Prime Video’s Most Iconic Isla Fisher Film Was Rejected by Reese Witherspoon for a Petty Reason
Image
Before Isla Fisher became the face of one of Prime Video‘s most re-watched rom-coms, another Hollywood blonde nearly stole the spotlight. Confessions of a Shopaholic, now considered Fisher’s most iconic movie, was first offered to Reese Witherspoon. But surprisingly, Witherspoon rejected the role for what might seem like a legit reason.

She thought it was too similar to her legendary turn as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. However, that decision paved the way for Fisher’s Hollywood breakthrough. Though not everyone agreed it was a better movie, it turned a chick-lit adaptation into a defining moment in Fisher’s filmography.

The 12 Best Kirk Douglas Movies, Ranked
Image
With a jaw chiseled from solid granite, an eagle-like, aquiline nose, a million-dollar smile, and a dime-sized dimple on his chin, he famously refused to remove despite studio pressure, Kirk Douglas looked like he was made in a lab to be a movie star. And what a movie star he was, with an astonishing 70-year career, most of it spent above the title. Heck, the dude even flirted with Anne Hathaway at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards in front of an international audience when he was 94 years old (I bet his blood type was testosterone). When Douglas passed away at 96 years old, he left behind a legacy as deep as the cleft in his chin, transcending the Golden Age of Hollywood into the New Hollywood and beyond.

Not bad considering he started life far from Hollywood as Issur Danielovitch, the son of Russian Jewish immigrants in eastern New York state,...

A globe-spanning shoot and 70mm IMAX visuals, the expectations couldn’t be higher. But as fans gear up for its theatrical premiere in 2026, one question looms: Will Nolan’s Odyssey have its streaming debut on Netflix, and if so, when will it be released?
