It’s been 20 years since Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain moseyed into theaters. The highly-celebrated film, which depicts the unexpected relationship between two young cowboys, won three Oscars at the 2006 Academy Awards and remains a classic take on Western romance in cinema. To honor the film’s legacy, Focus Features is re-releasing the emotionally charged film in theaters for special screenings starting on June 22 and 25.
Brokeback Mountain premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2005, earning acclaim from audiences before its wide release. Many consider it a barrier-shattering release, as it spoke to various viewers and critics. The film revolves around Ennis Del Mar (Heath Ledger) and Jack Twist (Jake Gyllenhaal), two young cowboys working at the picturesque sheep herding locale, Brokeback Mountain, who discover a deep and abiding love for one another that lasts a lifetime. Lee’s film became a critical and commercial success upon release, with a $178M global take.

The Young and the Restless fans are not here for Billy (Jason Thompson) and his repetitive behavior on the hit CBS soap.
Billy has always been his own worst enemy, which seems to be the case once again.
Y&r fans are sounding off on how Billy has been acting lately, especially when he learned about Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) reunion.
The whining, as well as the need for revenge from Billy, is becoming a broken record.
If Billy isn’t gunning for Adam, Victor (Eric Braeden) is on his hit list.
Listen, we all know neither Victor nor Adam are innocent, but Y&r fans are saying enough already with Billy Boy’s behavior.
The Young and the Restless fans are over ‘bitter and vindictive’ Billy
Soap Twitter, aka X, was on fire, with The Young and the Restless fans going off about Billy.

Pro wrestling(WWE) is a combination of wrestling and entertainment. The physicality is the closest thing to reality, even though the results are preset. The worst of that are the injuries and concussions. At the end of the day, the majority of the time, the actions are performed in the ring. On other occasions, however, the violence has gone backstage or outside the ring.
There have been many violent backstage fights in the history of the WWF/E but none more so than one that involved beloved wrestler Koko.B. Ware and a high ranking WWE executive during the Golden Era of the company.
Koko.B.Ware and the WWE executive had a bloody fight
For fans, Koko B. Ware, a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, was the playful “Birdman,” renowned for his vibrant, soaring character and pet parrot, Frankie. Koko, however, was more than capable of managing himself outside the ring.

The Young and the Restless (Y&r) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) are growing closer after a romantic trip to Paris.
What could go wrong? Plenty considering that Billy Boy has a track record for sabotaging his life on a whim.
Here are four things that Billy is capable of doing to break Sally’s heart!
Billy Boy Always Messes Up
1) Billy is keeping secrets from Sally and that is not kosher. Billy is lying to her about dropping his revenge plans against the Newman family. This will cause her untold anguish if and when she finds out. If Billy does something to hurt her ex Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Sally could be propelled right back into his arms.
2) Billy can’t quite quit Phyllis. While Billy isn’t drooling over Red, neither is he willing to completely shut her out of his life.

The boxing biopic Big George Foreman depicts the legendary “Rumble in the Jungle” match between Foreman and fellow icon Muhammad Ali — and many wonder if George Foreman beat Ali in real life. The 2023 film covers Foreman’s (Khris Davis) entire life story, from his impoverished childhood to the near-death experience that inspired him to hang up the boxing gloves to the impending bankruptcy that forced him to get back in the ring and become the oldest-ever heavyweight champion.
The “Rumble in the Jungle” scene in Big George Foreman portrays Ali (Sullivan Jones) as the confident young athlete talking trash in Foreman’s ear during each round. While this angle captures the George Foreman vs Ali dynamic at that time — Foreman as the defending champion and Ali as the new blood rising through the ranks to steal his glory — it doesn’t present Ali in a flattering light. The other scripted premieres in the network’s midseason lineup are “Good Cop/Bad Cop,” a new dramedy led by Leighton Meester, Clancy Brown and Luke Cook premiering on Feb. 19; and “Wild Cards,” which returns for its second season on Feb. 5.
Beyond that, the slate is dominated by unscripted programming. “Police 24/7” and “Crime Nation” return on Jan. 23, while magic-themed series “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” and “Masters of Illustion” are set for the next day.

Taylor Sheridan has brought several iconic shows out in the open. But apart from his Yellowstone universe featuring the drama-filled Dutton family, Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King would be the next best thing on television. The show centers around Stallone’s character Dwight “The General” Manfredi, and his crime empire as well as several personal story arcs.

Now, the writer of the show Terence Winter recently hinted at a major character death, which will surely make the crime drama a whole lot interesting.

Ask nearly anyone to describe Mr. T. and you’ve got the same description: the mohawk, the gold jewelry, the tank top, the muscles…It’s so distinct that it must be planned. And it is. But we bet you couldn’t tell us the significance of any of it: what the mohawk and chains symbolize, what the “T” really means deep down. And we bet you couldn’t tell us Mr. T.’s real name if your mama’s life depended on it. Is it for Tender? Or Tough? Maybe a little of both, depending on if he’s spitting motivational phrases or ready to whoop some butt at the club.
But rest assured, every move of Mr. T.’s – ever since being discovered by Sylvester Stallone – has been calculated, whose presence and aura – despite being tied to one specific moment in time – remains unforgettable. And yet, we know so little about the man.

Boxing has always had a close relationship with music, whether it’s Joe Frazier singing with his band on The Ed Sullivan Show the night before a championship fight, or Frank Sinatra becoming a ringside mainstay at Madison Square Garden. Nowhere is that bond stronger than with hip-hop, with prizefighters walking out to the ring with their favorite artists, rap verses referencing greats of the sport, and boxers dropping albums of their own.

There's a long history of unusual and downright wild contract stipulations in Hollywood. On the unusual side, when Jack Nicholson signed on to play "The Joker" in 1989's "Batman" he not only negotiated a huge back-end deal that ensured the box office hit likely never made Warner Bros. any money, but he was also afforded time off to watch Lakers games and given top billing over Batman himself, Michael Keaton. On the wilder side, alt-comedy legend Andy Kaufman agreed to appear in a recurring capacity on "Taxi," but only if his alter ego -- sorry, "friend" -- Tony Clifton could appear in an episode.

Stephen King's 'Salem's Lot was only his second novel, yet it remains one of his best-loved by capturing many of his core themes amid a clever update of the traditional vampire story. It envisions a small Maine town full of petty vices gradually transformed into a necropolis of bloodsuckers, and a small group of people who try to fight back before it's too late. The book has seen a pair of middling TV adaptations one in 1979 and another in 2004 which failed to fully capture the power of King's words. A 2024 version from Max is hoping the third time is the charm on that front.
Among the story's most intriguing characters is Father Callahan, the town's Catholic priest who initially serves as a bulwark against the growing ranks of vampires. He fails, badly, and his fall precedes the destruction of the entire town.

The first, and perhaps only, presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris was carried on every major network and cable news channel. It should really have been broadcast on ESPN.
That’s because the evening seemed less a debate than an enthralling boxing match, the best since the Thrilla in Manila. And no points for guessing who came across like Muhammad Ali and who like Joe Frazier.
Yes, Harris was floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee. Her extensive preparations for the evening clearly paid off as she bobbed and weaved while Trump kept throwing wild uppercuts and nearly falling to the mats. Oh, and by the way, did you know that illegal immigrants are pouring into the country by the millions, directly from mental institutions and insane asylums? And that the crime rate in Venezuela is way down?
I bring up the last points because Trump did.

On The Young and the Restless, spoilers for the week of August 12 – 16 focus on targeting Billy and trashing Audra. Meanwhile, Victor hands out new orders, and Phyllis offers unsolicited advice.
Number One Target
Billy (Jason Thompson) often acts like a bulldozer. Once his mom turned over her shares of the company to him, he ran with it. He immediately slapped the Abbott stamp on it because it’s the name he feels represents his mom. And even though she disagreed with the Chancellor-Winters UnMerger, he thinks it’s what she wants. Next week, conflict comes for Billy, especially with his brother Jack (Peter Bergman).
Billy thought it was a brilliant idea to put the Abbott name in front of Chancellor, even though it was Katherine’s (the late Jeanne Cooper) company long before he or Jill (Jess Walton) had anything to do with it. And he never consulted his...

Lately, The Young and the Restless has aired multiple mental health storylines and multiple corporate shark arcs featuring toxic fights, takeovers, and takedowns. A messy custody battle is brewing, and a sordid one-night stand has now turned into a ‘who can keep the secret from their significant other longer’ game. While many elements of these stories are entertaining, there is one thing in common. Overall, the tone is dark and sometimes depressing. On our wish list for Y&r: Lighten up and have more fun.
Bring the Fun
Lately, we’ve been seeing more and more comments like this:
#yr wow this is depressing – can somebody have a good day?
— S Newsom (@snews77) June 26, 2024
Don’t get us wrong — some characters aren’t bogged down in darkness. But those stories aren’t front and center. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) are happy with their baby and their jobs.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was formally disbarred in New York for lying in court about the 2020 election.
The long-awaited disbarment of the former president’s attorney, which went through several proceedings before the court’s final decision on July 2, is effective immediately.
Giuliani had already been suspended from being able to practice law while the New York court considered attorney discipline proceedings against him.
“The seriousness of [Giuliani’s] misconduct cannot be overstated,” the court wrote. “[Giuliani] flagrantly misused his prominent position as the personal attorney for the former president and his campaign, through which [he] repeatedly and intentionally made false statements, some of which were perjurious, to the federal court, state lawmakers, the public, the [Attorney Grievance Committee], and this Court concerning the 2020 Presidential election, in which he baselessly attacked and undermined the integrity of this country’s electoral process.”

On the heels of its upcoming live bout between over-the-hill boxing great Mike Tyson and YouTuber Jake Paul, Netflix has taken another turn toward becoming The Ocho of live sporting contests.
Netflix will stream a winner-take-all hot-dog-eating contest on Labor Day between reigning Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest champ Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi, the venerable hot dog chomper Chestnut unseated. The event is being called Chestnut Vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef, and while they’ve settled on September 2, they’ll announced venue and time later on.
Chestnut’s the world record-holder for eating 76 hot dogs in 10 minutes, and he has won the July 4 Coney Island event eight years in a row. If he’s Muhammad Ali of hot dog gorging, his Joe Frazier would be Kobayashi, who put the “sport” on the map in 2001 when he doubled the amount consumed by the past winner, his first of six Hot Dog Eating titles.

There is a new undisputed and undefeated heavyweight champion of the world.
Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk joined Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Joe Frazier, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali and Floyd Patterson as the only undisputed champions by winning a split decision over Tyson Fury. The fight took place at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The previously undefeated Fury was convinced he won the fight. But the scorecards favored Usyk.
“I believe I won that fight,” Fury said to Dazn.“I believe he won a few of the rounds, but I won the majority of them. … We all put on a good fight, best we could do. And, you know, his country is at war, so people are siding with someone with a country at war. But make no mistake, I won that fight in my opinion, and I’ll be back.”
Fury and Usyk reportedly have a rematch clause in their contract.

Daniel Kramer, a rock photographer who captured some of the most iconic Bob Dylan images of the Sixties, including the covers of Bringing It All Back Home and Highway 61 Revisited, died April 29, Rolling Stone confirmed. He was 91.

In an exclusive report by Page Six, Schwarzenegger attended the closed-door memorial service of his longtime Hollywood attorney Jake Bloom. While giving Bloom's eulogy, Schwarzenegger recalled how his lawyer helped not only to make the deal to bring the Terminator star into the Planet Hollywood restaurant chain business but also talked Stallone into it as well. Schwarzenegger remarked how angry he was about the Stallone news given their rivalry over box office receipts, muscle size, and million-dollar paychecks. The publication reports that what changed the relationship was that "Arnie and Stallone spent so much time flying around the world to promote the burger joint that their animosity finally wore away and they became close friends."

Big George Foreman chronicles the legendary boxer's improbable comeback at age 38, highlighting his resilience and adjustments to his fighting style. Foreman's return to boxing in 1987 after 10 years away was driven by financial circumstances, and he defied low expectations by finding success against much younger opponents. Foreman had a second professional boxing career, becoming the oldest fighter to win a world championship at age 45 and retiring at 48 years old with a record of 76-5.
The biopic Big George Foreman chronicles the personal and professional path of the legendary boxer George Foreman, and one of the highlights of the movie is his improbable return after 10 years away from the sport. Sylvester Stallone is taking a trip down memory lane and pulling the curtain back on his film rivalry with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The two actors, both known for dominating the action movie genre in the ’80s, recently shed light on their film rivalry in the new Netflix docu-series “Arnold”.
“The ’80s was a very interesting time because the definitive ‘action guy’ had not really been formed yet,” Stallone recounts. “Up until that time, action was a car chase like ‘Bullitt‘ or ‘The French Connection‘, and a film all about intellect and innuendo and verbal this and verbal that.”

Sylvester Stallone Says Arnold Schwarzenegger “Was Superior”: “He Had The Body, He Had The Strength”
Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are best known for their action movies from the 80s. As part of the Netflix docuseries Arnold, Stallone is recalling his former bitter rivalry with Schwarzenegger and giving him props.
“The ’80s was a very interesting time because the definitive ‘action guy’ had not really been formed yet,” Stallone says. “Up until that time, action was a car chase like Bullitt or The French Connection, and a film all about intellect and innuendo and verbal this and verbal that.”
Stallone determines that it was with First Blood, released in 1982, that action movies changed saying, “You actually relied upon your body to tell the story. Dialogue was not necessary. I saw that there was an opportunity, ’cause no one else was doing this… except some other guy from Austria, who doesn’t need to say much.”

Khris Davis stars as George Foreman in Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story Of The Once And Future Heavyweight Champion Of The World. To compete with heavyweight champions like Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali, boxers who were just as well known for their presence outside the ring as their fighting skills, George Foreman cultivated his own larger-than-life personality. It’s served him well for decades, from his boxing title pursuits of the 1970s to his entrepreneurial efforts of the ’90s and beyond. But that also posed a challenge for any actor who wanted to portray Foreman in the new biopic about his life, Big George Foreman. But Foreman, who serves as an executive producer on the film, says that Khris Davis’s performance is a knockout.
