Jason Vendryes has joined the cast of “Beyond the Gates,” playing a mysterious stranger with a connection to two of the show’s prominent political figures.

According to Deadline, which first reported the news, Vendryes will make his debut in Fairmont Crest starting in May when his character, Kenny, starts snooping around the lives of retired Senator Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and his Congressman grandson, Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon).

Since 2024, Vendryes has appeared as Agent Slomkowski in the BET+ original drama series “Tyler Perry’s Ruthless,” a spinoff of “The Oval,” which follows a young woman who becomes entangled in a scandalous cult of powerful sex-crazed fanatics, who she must now play along with until she can find a way to free herself and her young daughter. “Days of our Lives” alum Matt Cedeño (ex-Brandon Walker) plays one of the show’s lead characters.

Everyone Else Burns has been renewed for a second season on the network, it was announced today by Brad Schwartz.

The series premiere is set for Thursday, October 26 (9:30-10:00 p.m. Et/Pt).

"Everyone Else Burns is a brilliant and bitingly funny series that is as much about family as it is about the end of days," commented Schwartz.

Buchwald recently upped Rob Kim to its management team as co-head of the agency’s west coast office, where he serves in this position alongside Ryan Martin and Julia Buchwald, who also serves as the agency’s president.

A24 has tapped Brandy Norwood, Andrew Burnap and Kathryn Hunter to star in the “The Front Room,” with Neal Huff also joining the cast.

The Eggers Brothers – consisting of director Robert Eggers’ twin younger brothers Max and Sam – will make their directorial debut with the psychological horror film. They will also write the screenplay.

Adapted from Susan Hill’s short story of the same name, “The Front Room” revolves around a young, newly pregnant couple who is forced to take in a sickly stepmother who has long been estranged from the family.

The cast of Tyler Perry’s Ruthless on BET+ is growing and has set a date for the midseason premiere. Stevie Baggs, Jr., Colin McCalla, Samantha L. Thomas, Michelle Nunez, Alise Willis, and Jael Pettigrew are joining the drama as series regulars while three episodes will exclusively premiere on November 26 on the streaming platform with new episodes launching every Thursday.

As the season continues, many of the faithful followers have begun to uncover the evil that exists beneath the surface of the Rakudushis movement. Armed with this knowledge, Ruth and several new fearful cult members try to take control of their individual destinies. Ruth may be presumed dead on Tyler Perry’s The Oval, but that isn’t stopping the polarizing character from leading her own Bet+ spinoff — and soon.

Ruthless, which stars Melissa L. Williams in the title role, will kick off its 24-episode first season on Thursday, March 19, our sister site Deadline reports. Several episodes will be available to stream immediately, while subsequent installments will premiere on a weekly basis. This marks Perry’s first original series to stream on Bet+.
