Charisma Carpenter accused “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel” creator Joss Whedon Wednesday of “hostile and toxic” behavior on the sets of the late ’90s and early ’00s WB television series.

In a lengthy statement tweeted by the actress, who played Cordelia Chase on both “Buffy” and its spinoff “Angel,” accused Whedon of “retaliatory” and “cruel” behavior while she was pregnant on the set of “Angel,” and said she supports “Justice League” star Ray Fisher’s claims against Whedon.

Carpenter also said she was part of WarnerMedia’s investigation into Whedon’s actions on the set of “Justice League,” following Fisher’s accusations of “gross, abusive, unprofessional” behavior against Whedon, who took over reshoots on the film when original director Zack Snyder had to exit due to a family tragedy.

The death of Iron Man in last year’s Avengers: Endgame was a big moment for the McU that left Marvel fans misty-eyed around the world, so it’s no surprise to hear that the loss of Tony Stark also came as a blow to Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo.

During a recent panel at C2E2 in Chicago, Ruffalo was asked who he thought delivered the best superhero performance, and after a bit of joking around with moderator Clare Kramer, the McU regular ultimately settled on his co-star Robert Downey Jr., saying:

“Robert. Robert’s my hero. His Iron Man is like definitive and he started all this. I always marvel at him when I’m working with him, so… I mean, he’s done it the longest and done it with the most class and grace and generosity so yeah, I’d say Robert and when he died, that broke me.

Though the future of the McU’s Hulk remains uncertain, Mark Ruffalo still has a few ideas for upcoming releases, one of which involves a fan-pleasing clash between two of the Marvel brand’s biggest stars.

While taking questions from the enthusiastic crowd, Paul Rudd was asked how he never ages. The Avengers: Endgame star quickly quipped, "I'm 80-years-old on the inside. It’s been 20 years since Angel was on television and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spinoff garnered a very loyal cult following. Since it has been two decades, it’s about time that we revisit the lovelorn vampire, right? David Boreanaz thinks so too.

The actor appeared on The Talk Tuesday and when asked about the show he teased that one of TV’s favorite vampires will be returning.

“We’re coming up on 20 years. I mean, that’s amazing to have been blessed with a show like that and that’s where I really started my gig — this acting world,” said Boreanaz.

“I love that character,” Boreanaz added. “So, I will say there may be something coming up. I don’t want to give away much. I can say, it’s 20 years coming up this fall and we may have something in the works.”

The scoobies are back! Well, most of them are. The cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer had a mini-reunion at Wizard World Portland on Sunday and it brought back fond memories of their days at Sunnydale High School and the Hellmouth.

The titular slayer was not on hand unfortunately, but her fellow supernatural-hunting friends were. Her Bff Willow, Alyson Hannigan was on hand as well as her partner Amber Benson, who played her girlfriend Tara. James Marsters, who played the vampire we love to hate Spike was also on hand as well as Charisma Carpenter who played the resident diva Cordelia as well as Nicholas Brendon who portrayed Xander. Also in attendance were actors Julie Benz, Iyari Limon, Amy Acker, James Leary, Clare Kramer, and Alexis Denisof.

Many took to Instagram to post pics of the reunion. Carpenter posted a group pic with the caption, “Demons and vampires and scoobies oh my!

The several cast members of the classic shows Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel reunited over the weekend at Wizard World Portland to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Angel.

The only two main actors that didn’t attend were Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz, which is a shame. But it is cool to see everyone else come together again!

Joss Whedon fans were left stunned this summer when it was announced that the Avengers director was rebooting his seminal supernatural TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with Whedon exec producing and Monica Owusu-Breen on showrunning duties. We don’t know much about the new series’ approach to the original material just yet, but it’s said that the central Slayer will be African-American.

The idea of resurrecting a beloved show like Buffy obviously didn’t go down well with a lot of people, but stars of the original have since come forward to support the reboot and to wish Whedon and his team all the best. With his days on The Walking Dead now behind him, it makes sense that actor Chandler Riggs be ready to move on to other gigs. In fact, it appears as though he’d very much like to make the jump from AMC’s most popular show to that of The CW’s.

We are, of course, talking about The Flash.

While recently speaking at a panel being conducted at Fandemic Tour Sacramento, Riggs expressed interest in meeting the Scarlet Speedster at some point in the not too distant future. Here’s what went down when he was asked if he’d prefer to be in a Marvel or DC production:

Riggs: “Honestly, I really like both, but The Flash is one of my favorite shows of all time. So I would say something DC.”

Joss Whedon’s magnum opus Buffy the Vampire Slayer hasn’t been on the air for 15 years, but there’s always talk of it coming back in some form. Obviously, what fans would really love is for the original cast and creative team to reconvene and make more of the same quality of the original series.
