According to some sources, he held a Guinness World Record for the most songs recorded by a single singer, with a staggering count of over 50,000 songs across these languages. On February 8, 1981, he achieved a remarkable feat by recording 28 songs in Kannada in a single day, along with an additional 19 songs in Tamil and 16 in Hindi, a milestone recognized as a record as well.
