  • (1946-50) Radio: Appeared (as "Sam Spade") in "The Adventures of Sam Spade". NOTE: Duff was forced out of the show when he was accused of being a "Communist sympathizer" during the notorious McCarthy era.
  • (1964) Unsold pilot: Co-starred in the pilot for a proposed CBS adventure series called "Calhoun" starring Jackie Cooper and Barbara Stanwyck.
  • (1956) Unsold pilot: Starred in a pilot for a proposed series to be called "I Love a Mystery." The series was not connected to the famous radio series of the same name, but was instead envisioned as an anthology of mystery stories. Duff starred as a detective in the pilot (not Sam Spade, however).

  • (2/10/49) Radio: Appeared in the "Gracie Sends Sam Spade to Jail" episode of "The Burns & Allen Show".
  • (11/30/50) Radio: Appeared in a "Screen Guild Theater" broadcast of "Woman in Hiding".
  • (1967) Unsold pilot: Appeaed in a pilot for a dramatic series to be called "Men and Evil".
