- According to M. Night Shyamalan, the movie Sixième Sens (1999) was inspired by an episode of Fais-moi peur ! (1990) directed by David Winning in which lead characters are ignored by everyone not realizing that they are dead until the final moment. In The Tale of the Dream Girl, a brother discovers that only his sister can see him.
