Nigel Plaskitt has appeared, as an actor, in TV series such as DOCTOR WHO, ANGELS, YOUNG AT HEART, THE CLEOPATRAS, OWNER OCCUPIED and various TV plays and has appeared sporadically over a twenty year period as the long suffering Malcolm for the cold cure Vicks Sinex.

For nine years between 1973 and 1981 he created several characters and wrote for ATV's pre-school children's programme PIPKINS.

He produced and directed two series of HEGGARTY HAGGERTY, children's stories featuring George Cole, for Yorkshire Television.

For thirteen years he was one of the principal performers on Central Televisions SPITTING IMAGE, also acting as consultant on versions of the series for various European TV companies.

He was in the feature films, SPY STORY, CHARLESTON, LABYRINTH, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, LOST IN SPACE, THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL, as Co-ordinator and performer on THE MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND and THE MUPPETS MOST WANTED. He was a Vogon Councillor in the movie version of THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY. He was also the voice of the Mountain Troll who broke up the girls toilets in HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE.

He has also worked on THE SECRET LIFE OF TOYS for Jim Henson Productions, three series of Carlton Televisions THE SPOOKS OF BOTTLE BAY, three series of Yorkshire Televisions ROUND THE BEND, THE TREE HOUSE for Channel 4, FUN FACTORY for Sky TV, UP THE POLE a pilot children's project for Channel 4, DIGGER AND SPLAT a series of videos for Marshall Cavendish and two series of the Bafta winning ROGER AND THE ROTTENTROLLS for CITV. He played Doctor O in CLEVER CREATURES for BBC TV and he co-ordinated and performed for the BBC's childrens TV promo FUTURE GENERATIONS. He worked on several series of HOT DOG for Thames Television. He played Moose in COMBAT SHEEP for BBC TV/TCC/Baby Cow and Ripley in the BAFTA award winning RIPLEY & SCUFF for CITV/TCC.

He played The Dormouse and The Baby in ALICE IN WONDERLAND for Hallmark Entertainment, Moosey Mouse and about two hundred different characters in four series of Jim Henson Productions & Carlton Television's MOPATOP'S SHOP, was Monkey for the ITV Digital commercials, another monkey in the Moby music video 'Jam for the Ladies' and yet another monkey in a series of commercials for BBC FREEVIEW and was The PG Tips MONKEY in a series of award winning commercials for PG Tips with Johnny Vegas. He was the voice of a sloth for a Specsavers commercial, was 'Animal' for Jim Henson Productions in a Va Va Voom Renault commercial and Gonzo's cousin Kevin in AN AUDIENCE WITH JOE PASQUALE. He played Dan in 'DAN & DUSTY', the late night show for TCC/ITV. He plays the voice of Captain Black, Doctor Gold and other characters in Gerry Anderson's new animated version of CAPTAIN SCARLET, and several voices in a pilot for a new animated series for HIT Entertainment. He played several characters in SOCK TV for The Cartoon Network over several years.

He played Faraway in FIVE MINUTES MORE 65 x 5 minute programmes for Snow River Media / The ABC / Disney, Lil Bad Bunny and King Bunny in BUNNYTOWN for Baker Coogan / Spiffy Pictures / Disney. He played the voice of Tungar in PANWAPA for Sesame Workshop. For Sesame Workshop he created a voiceover and made a 'cameo' appearance with Elmo for a 'viral' for the London Olympics. He played 'Animal' on the X FACTOR for The Muppets with Olly Murs singing 'Dance with me tonight'.

He was the Voiceover and played several characters in THAT PUPPET GAME SHOW for The BBC and The Jim Henson Company.

He played The White Rabbit in COME AWAY - a new film directed by Brenda Chapman featuring Angelina Jolie, David Oyelowo, Michael Caine and Derek Jacobi.

He Produced and played Monty and several characters in MONTY & Co a live action TV series for pre-school children for The BBC channel CBeebies.

DIRECTING CREDITS He directed television pilots of WE STAYED IN... with Jungr & Parker , DRIVERS with Chris Barrie and Harry Enfield, TV commercials for THE FAMILY CHANNEL, POUNDSTRECHER and WEETOS and revivals of THE MARSH KINGS DAUGHTER, CUPID & PSYCHE and THE SECRET GARDEN at The Little Angel Theatre in London.

He has assisted in the setting up of International versions of SPITTING IMAGE in Portugal, Germany and Turkey, SESAME STREET in Russia, Poland, Spain, Palestine, Israel and Germany.

He was Animation Director, assisting Steven Pimlott, for Jim Henson's Creature Shop on the stage musical DOCTOR DOLITTLE with Philip Schofield in London and on the UK tour and Bill Kenwright's tour with Tommy Steele. He was consultant for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at The Menier Chocolate Factory and The New Ambassadors Theatre, London.

He directed Louise Gold in her one woman theatre show LOUISE GOLD ...by appointment, and TAKE TWO with Mark Eden and Kevin Moore - both at The Jermyn Street Theatre, London.

He acted as consultant for Cameron Mackintosh with the London Production of BETTY BLUE EYES.

He consulted on THE MUPPET SHOW in France for Disney, OKIDOKI, a new TV show for KidsTV in Austria, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS a live stage show for Fierylight.

He was puppet coach and director on PEPPA PIG'S PARTY and PEPPA PIG'S TREASURE HUNT in the West End and on a National UK tour. For Kite Productions in Dublin he was puppet coach on ANGLO a new satirical musical about the collapse of the Anglo Irish Bank.

He directed a stage version of SHAUN THE SHEEP for Aardman and SGA.

He has been puppet coach on AVENUE Q over the last eighteen years for the London production for Cameron Mackintosh, the National Tour for The Theatre Royal, Bath and for Selladoor's new national and international tours.

He was puppet coach for Sellador for THE MR MEN AND LITTLE MISSES ON STAGE in Edinburgh and on a UK and International tour.
