David Brady(I)

Dave was a screenwriting professor at York University in the 1990s. His weekly classes included lectures and discussions about story structure (What is the hook? Plot point one? Conflict? Plot point two? Resolution) and character development (What does each character need?), followed by the viewing of a film and then instructions for the weekly writing assignment. He expected his students to work hard. He inspired them to do so with the right mix of praise for quality work and brutal honesty if their writing was weak.
